  1. Just found this as I am trying to work out why does what on my 13 pin dash connector, I am fairly certain my connector has a feed from the coil for the tacho but your list doesn't identify one? Or am I missing something?
  2. EC1 http://www.tour-de-force.co.uk/tdf-engine-control.html Exceptionally high quality and Matt is first class when it comes to all things engine control.
  3. My wife now stears me away from any tool shops or tools for sale in shops we visit because I always stop and look at what clever tools they have.

  9. Have just checked, I need about 16-17 inch of barre inner. Can anyone with a standard ford throttle cable measure theirs to confirm if it would fit before i order a universal.
  10. Kitspares sell recon callipers for about £120 a pair.
  11. Thanks for that post florin, just answered how I am going to wire mine up!
  12. Think im going to go that route as I don't think there is an off the shelf that will work. Problem with universal is that I can't find a suitable end for the pedal box so it means relying on me being able to fabricate something that will work in practice, as well as theory, to adapt the pedal box connection. My thoughts on this at the moment is a small piece of box section with a hole top and bottom, one to fit over the pedal connector and the other for the cable to pass through and then fit a solderless nipple on the end that will stop the cable coming back through. Having typed that out I'm now thinking one on the bottom and one on the side rather than top so it pulls in a horizontal motion and no vertical motion... Any thoughts anyone?
  13. I had an original sierra one, although needs replacing as poor condition, and the inner wasn't long enough, and I can't shorten the outer without cutting the captive end off the inner. Not sure why it is like this but possibly because of the way my pedal box has been positioned and/or the linkage i am using, I have seen a few pintos with a different linkage to the one I have which look as though they would require a shorter amount inner cable. Or maybe I am just making things awkward for myself?
  14. Ah ok, yes I have worked out a way to use a universal one with that type of end, which is looking likely. I have a suitable outer already so may buy a cycle brake line and a suitably sized nipple.
  15. Cycle brake cable is a good idea. Though im not sure what type of nipple you mean? Have you got a link?
  16. Haven't found one yet, CBS dont have any.
  17. I think I have solved my problem now anyway, but my pedals were mounted in same way as your old set.
  18. Thanks Mick. My main problem seems to be the inner not being long enough, I will measure how much inner I need showing and if someone could measure there's that would be great. Worst cones to the worst I will order a universal one and make something up to convert the pedal box end to take a solderless nipple.
  19. Was my first visit. Really enjoyed it and found people very welcoming, just needed to say hi!
  20. Hi mick, not sure what pedal box, possibly the sierra donor(?) but it's a DGAV linkage on the carb.

    Now Confused

Not seen a roadrunner as yet. They are birmingham area aren't they?
  22. I need photos of how your drivers footwell looks, particular how the pedals and steering column are situated. Thanks on advance
  23. Did have a look on eBay and although there are ones with the right end for the throttle linkage on the carb but can't see anything suitable for the pedal box. May just Buy one of them and make up an adaptor.
  24. I knew I was missing a bit there. The inner on the one that came with the kit was too short also, not sure if that was wrong cable or something particular to my build.
