My column didnt have steering lock, which is why i fitted the immobiliser. Not a bad thing to have fitted anyway in my opinion.

Just checked that link, I see I posted on that thread with the details

Not that it helps but when I got mine it came with wiring instructions.

This weeks video is a bit shorter than normal, but I wanted to try a new style of video and see what you all think. I wont do every video like this, but I have another, longer fabrication video in the works that I intend to do in this style, but I wont if you hate it! So make sure you give me some feedback so I have chance to change next weeks video if I need to!
In this video, we make some custom billet parts especially for making things fit the Ford Prefect 100e project car. It never ceases to amaze me how many hours go into things like this, but the end result is worth it.

Is the taunus carburettor not just a 34ich by another name?

Bought this August last year, covered less than 100miles in the car since fitting, kept it go in the new car but I am going to need a deep dish rather than flat steering wheel. Was £57 new, looking to either sell or swap for a deep dish wheel of similar diameter.

Nearer the time I’ll be sending out a group pm with details of the finalised route etc, I’ll be sure to include you John

Think you are kind of just reinforcing the committees decision as being the right level. You have been able to post enough to see the value in being able to use the forum, but are frustrated by not being able to post more which can be solved by joining. My question to you would be, what is stopping you from joining? your feedback could lead to changes to remove whatever blocker there is to you joining fully.

It's that time of the week again! In this weeks video the Turbo Pinto setup gets thrown in the general direction of the 100e's engine bay and we take a look to see where it lands. All in all, it wasnt too bad, the transmission mount was simpler than expected as all the bits we needed to bolt in the one I bought were already fitted to the car, but the engine mounts didnt go quite as smoothly...

Lockable fuel cap, Sierra fuel sender unit and Sierra/Granada hub nuts, all new and unused, added to top of first post.
I could do with the stuff that’s left going sooner rather than later otherwise the boxes it’s all in are going to end up getting put away again to make space for other stuff, so happy to deals, especially if buying multiple items.

Looking good! The new blue looks really nice.

Most of my bits are halfords pro and agree for home use they are more than up to the job

Dont think they have had anyone managing it since Simon left, so no surprise.

I have a couple sets of brake callipers that I am going to use on the 100e, and I set about starting to refurb and rebuild them myself. Quickly realised I was gonna make a hash of it though and so knowing he has done an excellent job of his own I asked @richyb66 if he fancied doing some more and kindly agreed. Got then back last night and I have to say I am beyond impressed! He claims he stripped them down, cleaned them using electrolysis and did a full rebuild, but honestly I think he has secretly found a source of brand new cossie 4 pots and Volvo 2 pots and swapped my old ones out for new they are that good!
Massive thanks to Richy, they are going to look superb on the Prefect!

Good choice. M5 was a close contender for me for the same reasons - what a do-it-all car - but they don't make them any more in the touring so I dropped it. Only a 540i these days (straight 6), no more V10s boooo!
That is kind of my problem with new cars, no one really makes what I want, so I'd end up building lots of things instead!

Tesla would make a superb daily driver to be fair.

Was out at the mids meet tonight so didn’t get chance to share the link to this weeks video until now. In this one I finish off repairing the bonnet and get both boot and bonnet painted ready to go on the car

Sarah would go and buy a Porsche Cayenne.
I’d go and buy a workshop with plenty of room for storing cars and probably end up with lots of project cars rather an expensive car.- 2

Not sure why the need for 3 earth pins?
From what I can see the standard plug for st170 is NGK PLTR6A-10G and the upgrade plug is NGK ILTR6A-13G
