  1. Dave Well done on your pass. Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. Zeemerides are really only for getting the car built in the first place. I can't imagine anyone with a car on the road retro fitting them, unless thay are to replace a broken one. I had 2 break. One on the front, the ring parted company with the casing at the bottom. the other just leaked, so had no damping whatsoever.. I have just thrown the rear pair in the council recycle, so am now Zeemer free regards Graham B
  2. Every possibility that I will be there. Graham B
  3. My fuel lines go to the rear down the top of the tunnel tubes --in the V. The Brake line is clipped to the tunnel side , high up, out of the way of athe prop etc.. My electrics run through a hole I drilled in the tube above the dash and all the way down the inside of the chassis tube( the drivers side) to appear again in the rear wheel arch. As the thread says --any way , as long as it works for you. GrahamB

  6. Just the plumbing to go and maybe I'll be able to drive there !! ( I Haven't started the engine yet after refitting the head, and plenum, and exhaust manifold and turbo and oil feeds, and exhaust system and engine loom ) Just to change a valve !!. Graham B

    Swapiesys

Kev, I would bite the bullet and get yourself a MT75 ( without doughnut ) prop made up to the lengthg you require. The length will depend on where and how you have mounted the mT75 box.. Have you used the original gear stick frame, modified one to put it where you want the lever etc. 23 ins was, I think the lenghth of mine. Graham B
  8. Guys, The Injectors are into the head itself -- not an adapter plate. They will need to be properly plugged. ---or replace with a dohc 8 valve head carb head.. or a 16 valver , like Les did.

    Double Overhead Cam

just cut off along the web on the side and weld a new plate in and out.
  10. Nothing like that with my 2B kits. Must be a later mod to allow the rear arches to be fitted lower and closer to the wheels. My arches are attached to the chassis tube --very high up. Its a RH 2B -no right otr wrong way to fit them. Just do whatever looks best. Welding them to the other strips ( didnt have those either) should give you something to hold them in place. A smooth transition cover on the top !! Graham B

  13. Another big thank you to Bob, Sylvia and family ( and friends) for a fantastic day. Those that didn't get there don't know what they missed! Activities, food, company and evening entertainment. I am sorry the car was not there, still having tappet problems, not to mention a sump that needs shortening. I saw some spectacular lightning over Andover on the way home (23:15 ish) --I hope the rain it foretold missed those of you camping. Thanks to all. Graham B
  14. The Escort /Cortina ones had round ends.. A picture would help --or change yours to Sierra standars --Whats the cowling that goes over them like? Where is the 4 ways switch? A picture would help..
  15. Just like Florin -- mounted under the roll bar with wires inside the tubing. Graham B
  16. Most 2B's were supplied with sierra steering columns --so Sierra stalks.

    Diff Sizes

Paul, there is only one spacer needed for 4 fixing points. Its just that the 7.5" uses 2 x short bolts and the 7" uses a through pin on the 4th mounting.

    Diff Sizes

With the car on the deck, I have about 1/2 " sliding movement on the passenger side and perhaps 1/8" on drivers, its not a lot but enough!. You could always add a washer between the hub carrier and the swinging arm, where the camber wedges are fitted if needed. ( I think thats the way it goes together ) Graham

I'll hve to lay down under the car later and have a waggle. Graham

Kept the same shafts. It was a straight swap with a new long bolt ( threading actually ). No problems so far.

    Diff Sizes

Just need that 1/2 " spacer --no problem at all. And a long 7" fitting bolt--your 71/2 has three short bolts -not so on 7". 3.62 lobro fitted !! Graham B
  22. I looked at the idea and discounted it. There is no permanant solid framework to attach the pedal box to. You would have to fabricate a really solid sub frame to take the strain. settled on a reverse twin cylinder unit mounted up high with an external reservoir.
  23. I have an engine hoist !! where are you?
