hi all

im new to this site, not quite sure whether this is the right place to post this but here goes

since i was a kid ive allways wanted a 7 replica

now im a lot older im in the market for one either a part built or a finished second hand one looking toward the 2b,

a young family and shift work means a kit would take ages to complete

but i have a couple of concerns

how much room is in the 2b,because im a big bloke 6ft and 17 stones lol

ive looked round the net for info on leg room, seat width etc etc and all i can find is that from the back of the seat to the brake pedal is 44 inch, well in a slim car seat im 48inch

im sure that big people use them but how easily is it to drive?

can you modify the car to move the seat back or even the pedal box forward ?

or is there enough room for a six footer ?

any help, comments or info would be appreciated

many thanx in advance

i am 6 foot and 17 stone

i fit in a 2b without mods

if you found you couldnt fit, grp seats would give you more leg room

turn up at a local meet, or newark in june, someone will let you sit in and try ;)

6 ft 4 and 17 stone, and fit in monocoque robin hood. not the most comfortable drive in the world.

got a 2b and found the difference amazing. drove to le mans and back with less back ache than i get in my focus!

youll be fine.

You'll fit in a 2b. Depending on who built it you may have to modify the seat mountings & move the pedal box forward, (you wouldn't fit in mine for example) it's all possible though.

www.joeybrown.co.uk has as car with a moved forward pedal box on it....

Hi adie,

I think there's a Warwicks, Worcs and West Mids meeting next Wednesday night at the Malt Shovel Pub on the A45 - 7-30 onwards. Keep an eye out on the forum for confirmation. No doubt someone will be there in a car you could have a look at though sadly not me as I'm still building.
