Weirdest Part On Your Car

After seeing an airfilter made from a saucepan i thought it might be interesting to list the weird and wonderful bits and pieces weve added to our cars.

 

I guess the weirdest bits on my car is the heater matrix box made from an old microwave outsides and the squash balls over the locknuts on the top front wishbone...

Not on my car but on a Jago Jeep that a mate built, capped off air outlets from the heater box using two Kenco coffee jar lids ;)

the extentions to my indicators are the pedistals that feed gas to your gas fire,

mmmm thats why my fire dont work gdc's nicked the pipe

 

Down pipe from rain gutter used for air in take, ATX computer extension lead for connector to dash so one plug and dash is out

Dexion shelving angle iron to form the two seat subframes.

CO2 fire extinguisher brackets drilled and used for rear brake pipe supports.

40mm plastic waste pipe for the dash edges.

Two large display signs removed from briefing centre stripped and plastic used for side arm rests, boot cover and a variety of dash covering.

Yoga mat for cockpit and dash padding.

Camping mat for side carpet padding.

Exhaust cover from a NEXT stainless laundry bin

"Blingy" shower pipe from beneath the headlights into the body to carry the cables.

Stainless hikers drink bottle as an oil catch can.

Chromed copper pipe (1) Heater water feed

Chromed copper pipe (2) Bonnet prop

 

& the Piece De Resistance...

Starter button from a Routemaster bus :D

Genius! I've always wondered where to get cheap, pre-terminated, multiway connectors from. Just ordered 2 of these! :)
