Probably not suitable but last trip to France just before xmas travelled via chunnel just over 70 quid return ok off peak but can't knock the price for a car and 4 passengers wasnt silly times either !HTH mower man

Well just booked and paid for Ferry got same crossings as steve altwasser roll on the 30th. Not a bad price seeing as I have left it till 6 weeks before £78 return :D

Getting close now, two new rear tyres fitted, new head gasket, head bolts and cambelt fitted yesterday cos the head had to come off to cure a small water leak, just needs an oil and filter change in the next few days and we're all good to go

Hi All,

 

Living not a million miles from Dover, just seen an article on the local news.

 

There are possible long delays Dover bound on the A20 at the Roundhill Tunnel due to the road needing urgent repairs. 2 lanes into one and a 30mph limit. This is just past the Eurotunnel turn off, so if taking te tunnel you should be fine.

If you are planning to drive down the M20 heading for the Dover ferries, you will go through this.

 

An alternative is to take the A2/M2 heading for Canterbury (from Dartford crossing), then at the end of the M2 take the A2 straight to Dover.

 

Just to keep you posted of traffic.

Setting off for Dover at 5:30 am tomorrow, I would have used the M20....

I would have been called an idiot (or worse) if we'd missed the ferry....

 

PS next time we meet up I have a fresh load of glossy mags for you to get excited about....
