Weighing The Car, Part Ii

Shaft

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Had a visit from Dan (not-impressed) tonight, the usual really, drinking tea and talking bollox. :drinks:

Anyway, eventually we got around to talking about the weight of my build so following on from a recent thread regarding the weighing of a

car using the addition of singular or front and rear figures we grabbed the scales and weighed each corner in turn.

So then, can the values possibly be right? :unknw:

OSF 98kg

OSR 110kg

NSF 103kg

NSR 108kg

So add them up and you get 419kg

Thats with 3/4 tank of fuel and all fluids present??

Surely it can't be that light can it?? :o

Nick.

I dont think so Nick,

All you have done is meassure corner weights which is good and the figuers are not bad for a good nuetral handling car,

I think it would be a little heavier all together, Although if it is right I'd be very happy.

Guest peter2b2002

the only way to weigh you car is to have all 4 wheels on scales other wise if you only have one wheel on the scales the other 3 are taking some of the weight from the one being weighed, I think
