Banging Noise Sorted

As some will know, my car devoloped a nasty knock on gear change on the way to Newark :help: ... well i got it on the ramp this afternoon and the rear prop uj was proper goosed... infact when the prop was removed a part of the uj fell off.

 

 

55 minutes and a couple quid later.. cars back to normal :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

I bet that st engine helped the UJ on it's way!

 

55 mins....what took you so long!! did that include a couple of cuppas!! :rofl:

 

but seriously! Glad it's sorted. It took me much longer and I needed the A-team (mankini and Dan) to help put it all back together (diff, drive shafts etc...).

i had one of my lads help and a four poster ramp... it did include a cuppa and 2 smokes, after what Dan said i thought the diff was going to be a nightmare to get back in, but with the use of the pumping stand it slotted straight back

Newarks a curse..i had a cycle wing bracket break on the way home.

 

last 10 miles with it in the boot....nice easy fix for us both.i think

 

I agree Marcus.... I had the elastic snap in one of my tent poles

whilst packing up! :(

Hate to say I told you so......but

 

Give me a shout and I'll let you know what you need to do to modify the brackets, as both of mine went. It's a very common issue on the sliding pillar set up. The flat plate which the spring sits on tends to crack.

ive since made a new stronger bracket...but i may get some heavy duty stuff and knock up a matching pair..any info always appreciated terry

 

hows yours coming on ??
