Found this on fleabay.

Sounds very interesting. How heavy is the V8? I would imagine this would effect the handling a tad.

Shame I'm 300 miles away or I'd fancy a look at it.

I have a 4L RV8 in mine and it handles fine. They are only a few kg heavier than a pinto. I mounted mine as far back as I could physically get it to make sure handling wasn't affected.

Cooling is the issue to worry about, that and getting the stupid grin off your face!

Cant be sure but it looks like a sliding pillar.....

not really sure, as it seems to have a wider track than mine had.....maybe

just wheel spacers?

Yep defiantly a sliding pillar, should make for interesting handling with all that power.

Speed bumps would effectively remove that oil cooler, well it would in Dundee I recon you could squeeze at least 3 Rizzla papers between it and the road !

Well the handling is fine and yes I am looking to see how I can relocate the oil cooler due to its ground clearance - so far I am a happy new owner

having had a v8 westy it should be fun but the rv8's do have a habit of leaking oil mine did anyway and i hope you havent got the lt77 gearbox as it was aweful. Be careful if its your 1st expliot in a 7 as it will bite especially with sliding pillar and v8

Cheers - I did notice a small pool of oil under the car last time I rolled her out the garage. I am going to change the seats as the Westfield Cobra seats are far too tight for me.

 

It would be good to meet up with some fellow members and learn about the world of Robin Hoods (I'm used to German and Japanese muscle cars)

 

You're right, it was the noise that sold me
