Plug socket, spare plugs and a spare coil pack, alternator belt.

You could go on and on but that's all we carry along with what Wizz added.

Good recovery, not that we have needed it yet in 12 years.

As above: Recovery card

Then its just all basic toolkit 3/8th sockets, screwdriver with interchangeable bits, pliers tape, zip straps, length of string ( choose your own length :-) ) , knife, popular spanners and allen keys. i also carry one "specialist tool" thats a shortened allen key for the starter bolt thats recessed into the sump casing.

All fits into a soft plastic 10" * 8" * 1.5" case that sits behind the drivers set

Essentially the basic tools I would need to tighten/strap things up, swap easily accessible bolts around, reconnect broken wires etc for anything more serious its the phone number on the card.

Only "spares" I carry:

Bulbs

Can of petrol

Clutch cable ('cos I got a type 9 in a Zero)

Totally over the top and I will admit be to being rather anal-retentive about it. But my logic is that if I carry all this kit I will never need to use it. The day you leave the house without something is when you need it. :)

The boot space is for a tent, 2 chairs sleeping bags, cooker and beer and if space allows food.

All of which you will need.

Luckily my wife refuses to ride in the car so I can use the passenger footwell for all that :)
