Legal Or Not?

Saw this on Ebay and I was thinking how is this legal? if it is then we could all upgrade to a Zero without the need for any IVA

If it was just the chassis and it was like for like then it would be legal. However, new engine, new suspension, new chassis, all in one go, isn't legal.

 

As for taking a 2B onto a Zero chassis, that would always need iva as the zero chassis isn't like for like with the 2B

Its not a zero its a locost. Live rear axle which was never fitted to a zero. I.d say its legal so long as log book says locost and not escort or other donor. ..

If it was a locost to start with rechassised like for like which it seems to have been then why not?

Missing the original engine, gearbox and Uprights amongst other things.

Looking at this from a non-legal view it seems crazy that a car with a new chassis ,bodywork, all new brake-lines etc. , can still be classed as the same car A kit built from a single donor is more like the original car as it has only had the "body-shell" changed.

My car is on new engine, gearbox, diff, driveshafts, steering rack and more.

I personally don't have a problem with re chassis cars as long as they are like for like

Racing & Rally teams do this all the time

the ebay car was a locost...and its now again a locost..ok, new chassis, but who cares?

 

quite unusual live axle...not the typical front loader diff banjo-type.

 

seems a ford "small cologne axle"
