Hi has anyone got a picture of a pinto set up with r1 bike carbs just wanted to see what filter set up they was using ?

The only photo I can find is this naked one of mine, they are fitted with pipercross socks normally, there is not a lot of space I hoped to fit a sausage type filter but there wasn't enough room. I have an R1 airbox too but no chance of fitting that even with a lot of butchery. I could try to take a picture of it with the socks on in the next few days.

Hi

I have the same set up and use individual cone air filters purchased from eBay.  Basically dirt bike air filters.  i'm not saying they are the best and would love to put on a Pipercross set up but money doesn't allow at the moment.

I'll attach a picture later.

I have r1 carbs on my pinto and run a pipercross px600 filter no problems and doesn’t hit the bonnet.

I had some ITG socks that I had to trim down the length a little bit.

They were tested both on and off on a rolling road with no difference in power.

Bit late to the party.. I bought some random filters off eBay. They had an outer sleeve, which I have removed for now. Will look at "proper" filters once it's on the road!
