Congrat's Eddie, I got mine running 1 week ago today, it's a fantastic feeling. I managed to drill a 3.5mm hole in my thumb whilst making the rear arches, but it healed up fine. Mind you, my hands seem to like leaking red stuff in the garage Nicko

My mate thought he'd try out one of these"buyers" for his car. The money appeared in his account, but it was withdrawn after he said he'd posted a cheque to the "shipping company" at the buyers request. His bank told him he could draw on the money in his account, but it would take 3 more days for the amount to clear, and if it didn't, any money he'd taken from this amount, he would have to cover. In the end he had a diferent couple turn up an hand over the cash, which was nice.... Nicko

Hi, when my folks had a double garage built, the builder suggested using the cheapest wood varnish we could find, watering it down with thinners for the 1st coat. It's been up 20 years, and only had 1 recoat!! The only down side was the cheapest varnish gave the floor a yukky brown hue. Nicko

Hi all, I've got the injection engine and fitted my inertia switch adjacent to the fuel pump relay, where all the other electrickery bits are. Don't know if it works yet though, need a new battery to try to fire it up!!! Nicko

Hi, a mate of mine used to have a black one, that he bought new, used for a year or so, then garaged (Heated and dehumidified). I don't know if he's still got it, but last time I saw it (2 or 3 years ago) it had less than 5,000 miles on the clock. No matter how I pleaded or bribed him (except money of course) he wouldn't let me have a go!!! Nicko

Bill, no problem. You'll recognize me at Newark, I'll be the one with no Hood on the road, a bag of bits under one arm, and no money left under the other!!!!! Then again, there will probably be plenty in my situation. Nicko

Hi Bill, I prefer lager, but anything's good . I'm hoping to be at Newark on the Sunday. PM me with what you want, I've got all 4 springs, and 2 struts(in bits!) Nicko

Hi all, My fuel tank sender is from a 2.0i pinto. There's a multi-plug with 3 wires( Brown/black, brown/green and brown/red), am I correct in thinking the Brown/Black is connected to the Green/Black on the Vicky Green loom, and the 2 black wires together(on VG loom) go to the male bullet connector on the sender unit (Earth?). I think the Brown/green and Brown/red are not used, but any verification would be nice I've done a search on here to get this far, but still not sure. Nicko

Hi all, just a couple of questions, if anyone can help. From my donor loom I've got 4 wires taped together which I've labelled COIL. The green wire goes to positive side of coil and the other wires go to a multiplug. Blue/Yellow (idle adjust) goes thru' the multi plug to a ring connector. Brown/Red (Octane adjust) has no connection on other side of multiplug. Brown/Blue (Octane adjust) has no connection on other side of multiplug, but has a tee'd off wire before the mutli labelled EARTH by me(Tee'd with a scotchlok, so not as ford intended) It's these three wires I don't know what do do with... Help Please????? Nicko

Hi Chris, is that the connection for your side repeats I spy on the right of your picture? I was wondering where to position mine

Hi, I've got a sierra power steering rack sat doing nowt. It's yours for the price of a couple of beers, but you'll either have to collect it, or see if anyone fancies doing the olympic torch relay thing Nicko
-
Hi, I removed a little metal from the steering column bracket to allow it to be nearer the accelerator pedal. This gives plenty of room for the column to miss the exhaust. I'm hoping this is all ok, 'cos I'm a long way from finishing it! Nicko
-
Hi, If you want the front struts and all 4 springs from an '89 sierra, I've still got mine, and won't be using them. They're yours for the price of a couple of beers. Nicko

Hi Dave, the tank seal is a Ford part ( About £2.50). Just go to your local ford dealer and ask for a sierra tank seal. Nicko

Hi, It may be possible to set up witha new HD, then ensuring that your PC sees this as a master drive, then fit your old HD as a slave, then copy any files needed. I did this a number of years ago with a PC running windows 95, and all worked ok. Mind you, I used to play with PC's, now it's just mainly my Hood.

Hi, I've got the smaller RH ss tank, which I'm not using. (And may be for sale soon) Allyfab are making me a larger tank designed to fit the 2B chassis, with a swirl pot, feed, return and breather outlets, they're even fitting the sender unit. If you want my RH tank, PM me and you'll get first refusal when it goes on sale Nicko

With regards to the "GO", I remember seeing it at a show a few years ago. It had a tubular chassis and used the Sierra as a donor, including the hatch as a windscreen. I seam to remember this was to use more of the donor to keep the purchase price down. I seem to remember thinking at the time, it looked like to many short cuts, and no thought on design... Like it had been thrown together from miss matched parts Nicko
-
Maybe the wrong gaskets were used!!! When I bought new ones, I found that they're not all alike. Can't remember, but I think it's just 1 that's different from the rest. Nicko

Hi Phil, I'm sorta getting there with the wiring. I'm just about to try to connect the donor engine loom. Give me a ring when you're going to be in, and I'll try to pop round to compare notes. Nick
