  1. well ... well ... in future I'll have to be careful what I wish for ... absolutely amazing !! Noddy's car anyone ...?
  2. As soon as someone builds a Postman Pat van ... I want one!!
  3. Really sorry to have missed the first opportunity to meet up with everyone, since joining RHOCaR this year. Is it the case hat you meet up the last Wed. of each month and if so, is it always the same venue and same time? As a simpleton ... may I ask why the meetings are not to be found in the calendar? Really looking forewad to getting together with like minded owners/drivers.
  4. Problem if I do that Bob ... I'll be perched on the spare!! Ah! ... perhaps that's the answer ...
  5. I like that ... I like that ... I like that ...
  6. App downloaded ... can't wait to test it ... Can I download an app to improve the fuel consumption????
  7. Aha ... will try the download ... great idea. Fuel consumption not an enormous issue as the fun factor overrides!! But, if it can be improved a tad ... Thanks Kevin
  8. Thanks Bob ... I'll try and organise a suitable date to get it done.
  9. Many thanks ... Northfield is currently the closest to home ...
  10. Thanks Richard Thanks for the link.
  11. For a 30 area, the speedo 'waves' between 20 and 40 !!
  12. I can't pretend that this about my first drive but it is my first attempt at calculating fuel consumption. My car is a series III, monocoque, Robin Hood (which can be found in the Garage section of this site ...alanh65). The car was built in 1987, has been driven 9000 miles since then and has had 4 owners. It has a 2.1 engine purchased from Maxiflow Poducts (Vulcan Engineering) running on a pair of twin Dellotoes. Accepting the fact that the fuel gauge, tripometer and speedo may all be inaccurate by now ... I appear to have achieved 15mpg driving round town. I have not yet had the opportunity to take the car on a long, 5th gear run. Is this fuel consumption about right, what might I expect on 'cruise' and lastly .... Is a rolling road 'service' some thing worth investing in? I live in Sutton Coldfield (Birmingham) and would appreciate a recommendation of a rolling road centre, should the consensus of opinion be that it is worth spending good money on one. No more questions as yet ... Thank you all for any time taken both reading an replying to my questions. Alan
  13. Chris ... you're a star ... don't know how you find the time! This is my first year with RHOCaR and both my membership card and windscreen sticker have pride of place in my wallet and vehicle - they're superb, thanks. The time that you spent was well worth while ... classic colours too! Thank you very much indeed for the/your logo 'thumbnail' Alan #
  14. Lee, thank you. A far better resolution ... if I can get one even higher, even better - but I can wok with this. If I can access the latest 'badge' with ...The UK Kit Car Club ... wording, even better still. Reading so many positive responses to so many different topics/requests across this Club site makes me realise what a superb bunch of people belong to it. I am privileged to be a member - hope I shall be able to assist others in the future
  15. Each time the sun has shone (remember that?) I have taken my hoodie out for a short spin. With the sun being low in the sky I have occasionally had trouble seeing directly ahead. I would like some hinged 'sun shields' and have been tempted by these on ebay r.ebay.com/yX4wFY http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151213899378 has anyone any experience or advise on this please? I already have sunglasses and a 'cap' but the wind takes it off! Thanks Admin edit for working link
  16. Thank you - have pm'd Steve.
  17. Thanks Dan - will experiment away ...
  18. A very good day to you all. This question is, I guess, for Dan as it relates to the club logo. I have been playing/editing with the new logo to personalise it for my own vehicle. Is this allowed or am I infringing copyright or disrespecting the club by doing so? I have amended the colour to match my Robin Hood and added my registration. If you don't object to this personalisation, may I have access to a higher resolution copy of the brilliant logo please? Question2 ... Is club clothing now available with the new logo? Thank you. Alan
  19. OK it's got my vote to keep things as they are.
  20. Interesting idea ... some serious planning will have to take place in my household.
  21. Not that this is any help - but it works on my News feed. I also commented and added a photo, don't know if this helped me be recognised?
  22. Brilliant work - thanks. I'll be pointing friend towards it ... can only improve interest/membership.
