Inlet 45mm free length, purple paint on springs. Exhaust 46.5mm free length, yellow paint on springs Thats what passion ford reckon mate

I had similar symtoms and photos to yours after alot (dont start guys) I changed bottom end and no more burning oil now just chucks it out aux shaft seal all over engine So check bottom end mine looked good but some was amiss

What pic u want paul can get when home Yes still vac just pipe blocked with bolt there no where to connect on bike carb manifold

Thanks paul will have ago at it just wondering could it be anything to do with dizzy as that if electronic vac type with pipe just plugged

I will give it ago keith had to drive to and from stoneleigh at 70mph in fourth if put in fifth just spluttered and jerked like bad misfire

Sorted air leak using the dan st gasket plus injection gasket as both head and manifold are egg shaped just got to replace aux shaft seal as sprayed oil out and lubricated all engine bay and bike carbs need setting as fine when foot down but splutters at cruising/ low revs Goes like clappers when foot down and no smoke so getting there

Yeah white. Yellow. Brown and black i beleive could be wrong i usualy am

Sorted the air leak running better will sort more after stoneleigh so will be there even if on aa wagon lol

Think its fuel why not firing on no 3 untill foot down so need to sort carb which prob best balancing But if i press around manifold onto head the sound changes

Took it for a spin and goes very well and no smoke so was piston ring But when just crusing it pops and drives like misfire but also a chirping noise started to come from inlet manifold so although tight getting air from injection ports also using fuel and smells of it few oil leaks so that normal So mite just make it just got to keep foot down

Is was number 3 keith but that issue was oil clogging plug no that issue this time just been thinking about that and wondering if burnt oil left on valve not letting it shut fully hmmm Dont believe dizzy etc at fault due to fact that sparks perfect and strong upto plug Plus the carb on number 3 used to pop and spit faint flame out not getting that seems to be low fuel getting into cylinder as although plug damp it not wet

I will try dan wen i get home dinner time just got to charge battery or jump leads Need a new battery going to try the hand over the seperate carb intakes as well try that I thought timming as well but orther cylinders running and wen plug out tested on manifold no3 sparking very well
