  1. If they have 7603 & above it the "E" mark on them they should be ok for the UK , i have just had a look at the old ones i took off and replaced with Halogen . Mike
  2. I think that you will find that Left means the side it dips to and i guess its a pair made by Wagner in USA that you have , if thats the case then you are ok . Mike

  7. Sorry to say i cant get it into the garage as its full of my motor bikes , however i will check it over in the morrow and see if it starts ok , hope there are no lodgers in the webbers as i had taken the foam piper filters off !! Mike
  8. Oh Matt , it never rains but pours eh , i did catch 2 mice a few weeks ago in the cold spell eating the dog food from a hole they made in the sack, but they have now been cremated in the Parkray and helping the heating system , well just deserts for them varmits . Mike

I have just come down from the ceiling and had another look and it would appear the varmites came in through the handbrake lever hole , yes the one thing i hadnt quite got around to sealing with a gator , a bit late now i know but there is a steel plate over it with a block of wood on it now ,(bolting horses and all that) oh well hoover will have to come out tomorrow to help suck all those large turds and bits of foam and seat covering vinyl , and i thought that i was about finishes oh how wrong i was hey ho , Merry Christmas one and all . I suppose now i will have to fit my leather electric XJ jag seats now if i can squeeze them in humm . Mike

I have just been out to check that my battery Optimate is still working ok , and what do i find my new Cobra 7 seats have been eaten by rats by the look of it or should i say sh*te , how the hell they got in i dont know , as no chew marks on the doors or hood , so i assume via the engine bay or prop tunnel , but even then i cant see how , i will have another look when i cool down a bit and give my cat a damn good talking to , no food for him today . aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhh Mike
  11. Tracking is usualy started by damp and muck , if not checked it will burn a carbonised track ino the insulation , the only cure is to scrape it out and then fill with a varnish or such like . Mike

I went to see our practice nurse for my two monthly B12 injection last friday of which i was already a week overdue, got my times wrong as miss read time 1430 read it as 4.30 , so 2 hours late then oops , sorry cant fit you in today next appointment the 5 JAN , so i take it that they arnt bothered at all about patients or specialists advice for that matter , as to a patients well being ah well its only Pernisious Anemia so what , have a crap Christmas . Glad i have plenty of Nitro for my angina , beta blockers , all the other pills . Mike

    Remove the two rear panel fixing screws , pull pipe back a little to free it off , then twist and pull and there you are , free to drill holes etc Mike

    Yes as mentioned above drill holes in the filler pipe , i had the same problem as i could not fill the tank completly . Mike

I can remember way back in the 60s whilst marshaling on a student night rally in Loughborough , one competitor in his MG TF ran low on oil and did just that, added just enough water to bring the oil level up to the pickup , and then finished the rally , next day he drained the sump , flushed it well and filled with oil again and all was well , as i never heard of him having any engine trouble after that , Oh those good old carefree student days .     Exhaust Wrap

    When i did mine i sprayed the headers and pipe with VHT exhaust paint first to try to hold back the corrosion , then used 50mm wide wrap at half lap , sprayed it again with the VHT to seal those itchy glass fibres in. Still looks quite clean . Mike
  18. I have read somewhere that viberation hardends copper , like bead blasting or even hanging in front of a speaker as that is supposed to work also , if thats the case then a good talking/shouting at it should do it ! Mike
