2. I totally agree with you Nigel , What indeed is this County coming to ? When people see the need to blame someone for there own inadequacy is well beyond belief these days , If you do wrong at least have the courage to hold your hand up and admit it , not try to pass the buck and blame somone else , or is it only the Government minions who are the bright ones and we voters all dim and need that lot to guide us through life by the hand if that is really the case God help us all Amen . Summer Headwear

Quote from Grizzly Post Hi All, I fancied the "Peltor Metaliks" but couldn't deal with ARCO. They wanted the usual P+P but also an additional £8 approx, as the order was under £75 ! Did a search on Google and came up with these: Peltor Metaliks Sport Safety Spectacles Blue Mirror Lens http://www.positivehands.co.uk/products/pr...300/3C3300.html Free P+P too - Bargain. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just received a couple of pairs and suprise suprise came straight from ARCO , that gets around having to have an account with them and cheaper this way too , great price £12.01 for two pairs . Well pleased Mike

6. The older the Stainless the worse it is to drill as it age hardens as i found out many years ago when working in the food industry on old installations , new stuff not too bad , use paste or coolant and dont stop , just do it , i always tried to use Dormer A108 HSS Quick Spiral Jobber Drill for Stainless Steel if i was out buying them , but bosses didnt and bought any old crap well cheaper HSS , not the A108's or better , they are not cheap though and its worth looking around for good prices . Mike
7. Good on you Mat a true Patriot , we all should be flying the Patriotic flag today of all days . I've carried the flag enough times when i was a younger , windy days a real nightmare though .
8. Its a sad crack that we all are supposed to get official permission to fly the flag from our own flagpole , or thats how it used to be , i dont really know if that is still the case today , but someone out there will know nodoubt . Mike

11. It certainly should be a national holiday . Did You Know ? The Real St George Saint George is popularly identified with England and English ideals of honour, bravery and gallantry, but actually he wasn’t English at all. Very little is known about the man who became St George. Quick Facts about St George Born in Turkey (in Cappadocia) Lived in 3rd century His parents were Christian Became a Roman soldier Protested against Rome's persecution of Christians Imprisoned and tortured, but stayed true to his faith Beheaded at Lydda in Palestine St. George is believed to have been born in Cappadocia (now Eastern Turkey) in the year A.D. 270. He was a Christian. At the age of seventeen he joined the Roman army and soon became renowned for his bravery. He served under a pagan Emperor but never forgot his Christian faith. The Emperor Diocletian gave him many important missions, and it is thought that on one of these he came to England. It was while he was in England that he heard the Emperor was putting all Christians to death and so he returned to Rome to help his brother Christians. He pleaded with the Emperor to spare their lives. Diocletian did all he could to persuade St. George to give up his faith, but he refused and was finally beheaded on 23 April, 303. In 1222, the Council of Oxford declared April 23 to be St George’s Day and he replaced Edward the Confessor as England’s patron saint in the 14th century. In 1415, April 23 was made a national feast day. Patron Saint St George is patron saint not only of England but also of Aragon, Catalonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Palestine and Portugal amongst others, although he is celebrated on different days. St George is also patron saint of scouts, soldiers, archers, cavalry and chivalry, farmers and field workers, riders and saddlers, and he helps those suffering from leprosy, plague and syphilis. Mike

Throttle Cable

Check that both ends of the outer cable are fixed solid as if one end is not you would get some movement in the inner but not all that you require to give you full throttle , you could have an adjuster on one end of the outer cable (commonly carb end) just like you would have on pushbike cable brakes if that makes sense to you . Mike
13. There are a few Fab shops in GY that do stainless fabrication i dont know if GY sheet metal is still on the go ( may have had a name change ) Six Hills street i think , but at a price . Also another in King Edward street Len Trayers but Len died a while ago , i cant remember who runs it now , they where the best sheet metal workers in town . You may be lucky and find what you want in a boat chandlery in town . Mike
14. I had the same problem when after heating the polycarbonate sheet to bend it , the protective film still wanted to do its job and stuck fast , i think that i used warm soapy water and a soft nylon adhesive applicator spreader thingy and taking great care too , got there in the end though thankfully . Best of luck , slowly does it . Mike

20. Hi Mark Just added it to my above post before i read your last one . CAI was formerly the SMITHS Instrument Company Mike
21. Just used mine as an extra breather for the fuel tank .
22. Hi Mark , If no mention of magnets in the installation instructions then you possible wont need them , in that case use the flange bolts as the target for the inductive sensor . Just check the Smiths web site for any further info . http://www.caigauge.com/speedsensorfit.htm Mike
23. I am ony using two magnets but was advised by the makers ISSPRO to fit 4 magnets for better accuracy at slower speeds , but on doing this the speedo switch settings need to be altered to compensate , i have the magnets but not got around to adding them as yet , run out of araldite thats my excuse . Mind you my speedo does go up to 170mph , well over take of speed for a Hoodie . Mike
24. Hi Paul If you are using a pickup plus magnets , check the gap between them , as when i set mine up at first it seemd ok but after runnng for a while and a thrash through the country lanes it was sluggish and acting strange , i checked and readjusted the pickup gap and all is ok now , my magnets are fitted on the rear propshaft flange , you can get a bit of movement there when its driven hard due to flexing so you may have to find the optimium gap between both pickup and magnets etc . Mike
