  1. http://www.vulcantothesky.org/uploads/images/CWT%20Map%202014.pdf The Vulcan is due to do a fly past on Thursday for all the V force stations from 2pm.
  2. I'm not too sure about the 2b hood fitting but the exmo is a mono like the 3a and are similar in size for seats etc so I'd say anything from that era of the 90s would fit. If you need measurements you can borrow mine as a guide.
  3. I'm off to the UAE in a couple of weeks do it will be in the new year that I get a proper chance to tinker and get the much awaited mot. I'm really hoping that I'm in the country and on the road so I too can pay it forward at Donington next year. Mine will definitely be hinder not help lol
  4. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the Rhocar members who gave up their weekend to get my car closer to its final goal of an Mot. I hade a great time and have made new friends, it's a true testament to the club that demonstrates that it's not the car, but the people within it, that make an organisation such as Rhocar a success. My thanks go out to Phil and Richard for suggesting me in the first place as well as the whole weekend making my dashboard. Simon and Richie for spending so long under the dash and bonnet sorting out the wiring fiasco which was Sierra-Vicki Green-Sierra again. Rob and Nick for all the mechanical inputs including drilling out my sheared hub bolt. Stuart, Dan, another Nick more too, there are others too but I can't seem to remember names of people against their profile names, it wax just a mad weekend where time simply flew. I just now need to get the few small finishing touches completed and get a ticket on the car ready for next year. Many thanks to all who were involved in the Rhocar Exmo rescue. Dave
  5. I'm aiming to be there from 3 so can help out from then

    Best Engine

Can't suggest an engine but if anyone has an mx5 the is300 is a popular mod.
  7. Biksz I've checked and the gloves are nitrile. Hope to see you at the show Dave
  8. I've already got some large and extra large gloves. I think they are nitrile but will check. Also got blue roll and some foam to use as knee pads should anyone need it.

    Toolkit

The professional and advanced ranges are lifetime guaranteed. It's not always worth using the trade card if the tools are on offer as they will charge full price then give the discount. I agree though, it's definitely worth getting a trade card if you can. I've saved a fortune on windscreen wipers alone.
  10. We saw the Lancasters and the Vulcan flying at the RAF Marhams families day on Thursday. Very cool to watch.

    Toolkit

I've got the 150 piece professional set and haven't got any complaints. As it's the advanced professional any breakages are replaces for free. I also like the look of their professional cabinets too
  12. Does anyone have a set of Sierra 2 litre calipers for sale, i'm thinking of trying to upgrade the brakes for the Donington show. Dan E are the ones you had available last year still available?
  13. Yes please also, but I'll need a seat if someone doesn't mind
  14. Would wonder wheels work, I used it with excellent results. Easily cleared the yellow tarnishing on my alloys and left them really clean.

    Exmo Bonnet

I've got an exmo as well. It's off the road at the min but due to be up and running very soon all being well.
  16. I'm certain that's right. I fitted sub k front shocks to my exmo when it needed replacing. It's an exact match. There are loads of posts on here if you search. The exmo strut is from a P100 with a machined externally threaded insert which holds the shock and spring. On the sub k the spring is separate.

    Fitting Loom

Cheers Al. It's very similar to what I'm intending. As ive had to repair the loom I wasn't sure on cable lengths for column etc. I think I've got it sussed. If I'm lucky I'll get some time in the cave tomorrow to have a good play around. Dave

    Fitting Loom

Cheers guys. The car is already built, not by me, The rear loom will have to go down the side but I was really looking for fuse box location. I've had to cut and splice a fair bit of the loom as it was a second hand purchase. Before I look at the final fit I really just wanted some other visual reference. Dave

    Fitting Loom

Hi guys. Does anyone have any pics of their wiring loom fitted to their car. I've got a vicky green loom and am trying to get a basic idea of layout etc. I'm looking at a monocock chassis so exmo's or series 3's Cheers
  21. That's ok. I'll have to dig out the tent or the bivvi. Got a pass from the wife so got the whole weekend.
  22. Is Donnington a hog roast and camping event?
  23. I feel completely elated. I can't wait to meet all of you and get my car further on from where it currently is. I'm going to update my garage and get some pics up so you can see how far along I am. I've got most of the bits to finish the build, I think. Just not the time. Quick overview, it's a pre sva, correctly registered exmo I bought it 8 years ago and ran it for a year and then took if off the road for a respray. It's mainly rebuilt but needs carpet, dash and some tidying up. She was running 4 years ago but she just won't start now no matter what I try. I'm hoping it's just a kinked fuel pipe. Pics to follow once I get a chance to get to the puter.
  24. PM sent. I've the square hazard switch. Dave
