  3. have you changed the plugs? or moved them around in the head to see if the no.3 not firing follows to another pot?
  4. The alligator bonnet on mine tried to kill me! Lifted on the a14 at 70mph windscreen crushed my chest and bonnet edge tried to cut my hand in half. If you or anyone have that design make sure it's well secured unlike my factory built pile of shat I had from Robin Hood 2 days before they went bust...
  5. The power drop off occurred at similar revs when it had the webber carbs, probably needs different cams. With the way this thing goes it needs no more bhp or torque, just going to make it as drivable as poss and sort out the cosmetics
  6. Power drops off at 6000rpm limiter now set to 6250rpm. Not driven it yet so can't comment about the 70 issue. And yes its like a v8 that revs like a 4
  7. It's not just the 256ft lb of torque it's how low down it kicks in, absolute animal!
  8. How do you like these curves... The way it goes i thought it would have more power, but if you look at the torque it explains why it goes like it does... more than pleased with these results.

  12. That 3rd pic is epic!! Just curiosity, how much has mega awkward sorry squirt cost to buy and fit to this stage? Just seems a very difficult install compared to my canems install experience.
  13. It's on the dyno tomorrow, where he reckons that he will be tune it to aid this issue, the 1st tb is approx 1/4 open versus 2nd fully closed. It's probably not been helped by the fact that I've been driving on a rough map. If it survives tomorrow I will reassess where it sits, and go from there... all great advice thanks
  14. I have machined up a restricter that I have placed in the vac line, taking the pipe bore from 4.5mm to 2mm. On quick run out I found it has altered the 70mph problem it's definitely improved but not anywhere near enough, I also do wonder if the charger may be trying to stall under these conditions due to odd noises only present under these conditions. I.m also getting issues with all my boost pipes trying to separate, suggesting back pressure caused by the closed 2nd tb and the bpv closing. I.m going to try 2 things taking the vac line off the other side of the tb and also running with 2nd tb wide open. It's a minor problem but it's got to be irradiated as the car isn't nice to drive at normal pace, it actually behaves like my 45dcoes did when the chokes were to big wot it went like stink 70mph cruise was aweful
  15. It's using a mini bypass valve to recirculate boost controlled by plenum vacuum. Trouble is when trying to cruise at 70ish the valve is opening and closing on the slightest increase on engine load thus boosting on a near closed throttle any ideas on how to control this ?? As it really awkward to drive with at legal speeds on a dual carrigeway. Ive been reading about boost controls and dump valves but not really sure how they would work with a charger as a pose to a turbo.

  18. my 45 webers are the 5 progression hole type, apparently a zetec will not run properly without them.
  19. No, packed with grease on fitting. Absolutely fine sense. The car rattles squeeks and howls anyway....

  21. Not sure to be honest. Not oil as they are standalone. May have ingested something but can't see what if it did. Just *bleep* luck I think
  22. 300miles and one dead supercharger!! Seized solid on quick run to Richards, thought my car had caught fire at one point the amount of smoke that came out of the engine bay, thankfully it was just the belt burning and snapping. Talk about *bleep* off!!!
  23. Got a zetec standard tb here you can have if you want it. Not sure if it's a 2.0l or 1.8l
