    Zero V 2b

No other reason than pure interest. And I know that all cars are very individual, but generally are the Zeros lighter than 2B`s???

    Newark Autojumble

Well, I did go, The A46 from Leicester to Newark is the most mind numbing, boring and Nazi traffic controlled road I have ever driven on, so I on the way back I took the A1 to Grantham then the A607 to Melton then back to base.. Much more interesting. Did anyone go? I didnt get there till 1.30 but didna see any Hoods. By the way they have scrapped the free charge but knock a quid off for kits, classics.

    Bike Carbs

Its more of a cold start thingymajig and as previously stated does start it up a lot nicer. Well worth wiring a choke lever inside the car for the colder days.

  14. Ive wrote about this before, but its so monumentally stupid it warrants a second airing. After buying my first hood I wanted to take a few photos of it. I wanted an elevated shot but as I live in a bungalow I climbed onto the garage roof. You can just see the reflection of my head in the nose cone. Just as the garage roof gave way. I grabbed onto a passing roof beam with one arm which then dislocated my shoulder by 4 inches, even my left ear hung lower. Lots of morphine and loadsa sick notes and I was fine. Doh doh doh doh doh doh doh

  16. Sitting in the drivers seat trying to tighten up the steering cowl. Lost the screwdriver as usual. Thought it must have gone under the seat so I pushed myself back to look underneath and heard the ripping of vinyl as the screwdriver in my back pocket slashed the seat.

    Spotted

I managed to get a prime location, what about you guys Phil and Derek? (he he) Massive massive turn out though. Was talking to a hoody who had just been to Peterborough for a rolling road session. Im thinking this is his car. Interesting cooling in the nose cone.

    Aluminium Weld/solder

I have the chaps email address somewhere, not sure if he has a website. I got some off him at a different show and I havnt used it as such apart from doing a test piece at home. It worked but wasnt as easy or as strong as when he did it. I imagine it would get better with experience but its bloody expensive stuff to keep wasting. Andi
  22. Wouldnt have thought this was really my bag, but did anyone try the Dakar experience? I chose only to try the short £4.00 route. Jeez, if I lived in a more accessible country I would be seriously considering one of these motors. I cannot believe what terrain these cars/trucks can negotiate

    Ramps

Most ramps for the back end are ok.. Caution for the front though
  24. Thats kit cars for you ! Yes they do have their own mind. Maybe a year ago now I tightened up my alternator belt and found that the bolt on the bottom right hand side had come loose. This was due to the thread being worn. A few miles later and it dropped out and I panicked. Its still out now and I have never got round to fixing it. So its only bolted on by one bolt and the tensioner bolt. Asking for trouble im sure, but no probs whatsoever. Must get a helicoil kit. Andi
  25. Great show
