I should have read this thread earlier. As a 2 year old I pulled free from my Mothers grasp and ran into the path of a slow moving 37 ton truck. I ended up stuck under the back wheels with considerable crush injuries as you could imagine. In 1966 there wasnt any "no win no fee" of which I am glad. It was my fault (yes even at 2 years old) Apparantly the driver was in shock and couldnt get back into his cab to move the truck off me, and I have only recently heard he ended up having a nervous breakdown. I believe him to be the victim of circumstance, but I wonder if he would be today? Three weeks ago I was talking to a work colleague in the street and her 6 year old son ran up to the hood which was parked up but had been for a good run 5 minutes before. Despite us both shouting at him he tried to climb into the drivers side and burned his leg on the exhaust. He ended up in casualty and had 3 follow up appointments for the burn injury. Luckily he has been told it will not scar. His Mother said it was totally his fault but I was extremely worried for a while. Hasnt put the lad off though, he has since plastered his bedroom wall with downloaded pictures of 7`s In hindsight, I think for the general publics safety a warning sticker is the way forward.

I found 1 retro sort of cap but it appears to be for bikes and doesnt give dimensions, otherwise that would be cool. As per title, done about 60 miles today and just locked her up in the garage and seen the cap missing. They look stupidly expensive and seems you have to buy the surround too. I need the car tomorrow just to make things worse. Methinks I will be whittling a stopper out of wood at this rate
