Hi Andy, Not hard, just expensive. Head gasket set new chain? (depending on age condition of the old one) Plastic chain guides (usualy want changing) Chain tensioner (these can be re-set but were designed as a one shot use, Les welsher (spelling) off this forum came up with a method) I will have a look when I get to work on Monday, I should have a list of parts / costs from when we removed the head off our donor engine. I just remember thinking this is getting bloody expensive, and at the time there were a few people giving away good known engines. Steve

Hi Steven, Ask me again in about 5 years and if the weather is like last year make it 10. The one thing I did find when I did the clutch on mine was that the engine and box did line up, if you have done the other bits you should be OK, after all it's only what the others have done to fit a new Zetec to an MT75. i.e. Fit spigot bearing Re drill fly wheel for pinto clutch Mod the clutch fork pivot point. I like the idea of fitting an Emerald ECU and you may see 150 BHP with the exhaust and induction kit maybe more with a de-cat pipe, but now you have a new reg. there is nothing stopping you fitting another second hand engine / gearbox if you are still not happy. If You are going to IVA it then I think you will have a problem with a New Zetec + Carbs of any sort.
