    Budget ?

Hi Gazza, I purchased the starter kit, with a few extra's and then gave myself a reasonable monthly budget (wife agreement). It gives you a chance to plan and schedule work, monthly, weekly of course there are a few times when I had to save a few months allowance to purchase expensive items i.e. ETB dials. You save money by looking around on the internet, visit shows to get some decent bargins, reduced VAT, no delivery charge. Please do not under estimate the cost of extra's they soon add up. But then I am in no rush to finish the build, if you want a quick build then I would suggest you save more. Get yourself a decent donor then you can save and prep the donor parts, over the winter period. What ever your final decision don't give up, spend carefully and plan everything. All the best Regards Mark

    Mini Baby Bell 2

Congratulations and all the best for the future. What's the name of the 4 seater 7 style kitcar?
  5. Being a quality professional I would have to say its 'quality not quantity' but I did build the garage for one purpose to build the kit car I have 8" clearance (4" front and 4" back) and 28" to one side. In the early stage of building I had to move the car left to right on trolley jacks to build the other side. Fitted old kitchen cupboards to give storage space and keep the floor clear and I probably banged my head at least 50 time so far. Pictures show how closed to the front and back of the garage.

Nick, If its not here and it has been sorn probably best waiting until next year and try some other kit car forums or shows (not all members use the forum). However if you are interested in another 7 style car then I would highly recommend the GBS Zero. Regards Mark

    Its Alive!

    Sounds and looks great.
  13. Femi, I drilled the diff flange and glued the magnets in the holes, then used stainless steel 'p' clips as a bracket for the pick up sensor. The picture shows one 'p' clip but for safety and vibration I have sinced fitted another to brace the sensor in a v shape bracket, the masking tape is not permanent just holding the magnets whilst the glue was drying. 14. Hair cut, speedo's and lots of grease, should be lighter and less friction.
  15. Knowledge, experience, personal opinion, budget, lifestyle, garage tools and equipment available (dare I say it 'even the wife has an input') we all build/modify kit cars. We use this forum to gain advice from like minded people, learn from mistakes and to support others. We are all different.

  19. Chris, Looks good I did the same and riveted the bottom panel with the sides found out later had to drill them out and reposition. No problems you can not see the additional holes later with the rear arches on. All the best. Mark
