  9. Welcome mate, This is the mad house. 4 months into my build almost done I reckon lol. ( engine still not in, too many modifications ). But the kit is a joy to put together. its cheaper to get chassis painted but go for the powder coat option. spents years painting lol. And still not the best finish ever. As Nick and John have mentioned feel free to ask any questions. You decided on engine yet? Am yet to see a BEC zero. Common do it do it lol just messing Enjoy it mate femi

  14. steve i have got one you can have if you still after one mate
  15. yes Andy, you can use the standard flywheel and clutch with those parts. Graham, i have been informed the tha spoigot bearing at the end of the cranks helps centralise the input shaft and prevents the wear on the end of the crank and input shaft. I would not think it matters too much if you have not fitted it. if the release bearing is ok and everything is centrally located and no movements then it should be ok. i think.
  16. alrite Andy? I am currently doing the same thing (black top). I retained the 2.0 flywheel and clutch assembly (cost reasons). I fitted a spigot bearing into the centre of the flywheel for the type 9 input shaft to rest on. Alsoo i have a ford transit diesel 2.4/2.5 clutch release bearing (cct303). if do use the 1.8 zetec flywheel (weight advantage) you would need a ford capri release bearing (cct133). Also the standard clutch kit for the 1.8 zetec can be used Hope that helps femi
  17. longer one is to the right and shorter to left ( i think) well thats how mine has been done
  18. yeah i have really considered the new fuel thank. I just dont like the idea at all if am honest. I rather have everything together in one thank. I might just tell gbsc to swap it for other items for me. And I would get a seperate tank with integrated swirl pot.

    1.8 Pinto

I have for sale my 1.8 pinto. i was gonna use this before i swapped to a zetec. in its standard condition. came out of a tiger. the sump has been shortened (no extra capacity added) but strengthened with 8mm bars welled at bottom to prevent damage, this was all done by previous owner. its just sat in my garage now so please come and take away for £25. also one of the stud bolts on the exhaust side got sheared in the head been drilled out so a bit wider now would need to be rethreaded and bigger bolts used. also I have an exhaust silencer and primary tubes that came of the same engine. no collector. £60 picture here http://s1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc414/femster87/?action=view&current=DSCF2801.jpg&newest=1 regards femi ps am going up from scunthorpe to luton on saturday so delivery can be arranged if you are along the way(would be early in morning)
  20. thanks guys, also for swirl pot location, does it have to be in the engine bay, can i not put it near the thank?
  21. what fuel pump have people been using and where can i buy one from please.

    Zero Wiring Loom

Hi John, I ordered my premier loom yesterday, so my sierra loom is surplus to requirement. Only problem is that i have started to sort it so most wire wraps removed. so the wires to the relay box and fuse box are in a major mess but everything else is taped into clusters. Also the relays are getting used in the new loom. finally its heavy and would cost a bit to post. Apart from that. you can have it for a £10, just to get some connectors for my new loom. PS. Am surprised you considered the £400 loom. I just could not believe it when I heard it.but i know a lot of work is involved. but thats alot of money for wires. let me know what you want to do. regards femi
