  1. The next option up the motorway is Southwaite Services, but this would be a typical Moto Services place, so I am happy to meet at the Rooster. The address for sat nav is Ullswater Rd, Penrith, Cumbria CA11 7EH
  2. Bob. I won't be be leaving until after work so not until maybe 5.00pm so I will just have a dash up the M5/M6 and see you there. As for the rest of the plans, it all sounds good to me. Thanks Paul for the SatNav files, I will download them when I get home and add them to my Garmin.
  3. Malcolm. Firstly, there is no build manual but if you search Google you will find several build blogs that detail the build. It is not a hard build and if you have some basic skills, you should be OK. As for Ford vs Mazda, that is personal taste. If you go the Ford route, you could buy pretty much everything new so you could get a new registration, but don't be naive about the cost, you may not see much change from at least £15K! If you go the Mazda route, you can use a lot of the donor vehicle and get an age related plate, although it will not be the same one as the donor car. The cost will be a lot less. Hopefully others can add a bit more for you, but I would definitely recommend coming along to the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh at the start of May. You will get to see lots of cars and get chance to talk to the owners in more depth.
  4. Thank you Bob and Mo, my surrogate Mum and Dad
  5. The car looks really good Alex . Sorry to hear of the engine woes though
  6. The strip of lights came from Europa Spares
  7. I have my clocks in the middle of the dash and I am happy with them there. I have the Sat Nav straight in front of me instead This is from my blog New Dashboard
  8. They get through TPS as they call from outside the UK. I don't get them as my phone blocks international and withheld number!
  9. I have found a few websites that have information but they tend to be biased by either the In or the Out campaign that started the web site! My feeling is that the vote really could be as close as 51% against 49% but which way I don't know. The reality is that the general public who will vote, do not have enough proper, unbiased, information to make a reasoned decision. I think people will be swayed by who can paint the blackest picture for staying in or getting out or even which celebrities get onboard with which campaign.
  10. I don't remember bonding mine at all. I just placed it between the top of the bodywork and the trim panel and step by step, drilled and rivited. I cut out V shapes to allow it to go round the corners.
  11. Check post #150. There are alternatives to the main staying points. I suspect the Premier Inns will still have space.
  12. Fingers crossed you won't need them. Come on, you know you want to join us

I have a full hood for my Zero and I haven't used it for a long time (possibly 3 years!). I have a half hood that was made for me by Soft Bits for Sevens and it is much better. It takes a minute to put on whereas the full roof takes a heck of a lot longer. The car pictured in the link above from Bob is actually my car

It looks like a really nice car
  15. It probably doesn't really help you but I am stopping off in Chester on my way back down to Gloucester
  16. This event has been mentioned on the Westfield forum as well so there wil be a few Westies coming along.

This was raised on the WSCC. Apparently Tony Judd, who is the main guy who runs the business has been taken seriously ill, hence the lack of response.
  18. I agree Dan. Lie in, breakfast and then hit the road around 9.30 to 10 am to miss all the rush hour. I reckon we could aim to be there around 12:30 ish.
  19. Myself, Bob and Mo and Paul, will be setting off on the Friday from the Stafford area so I would have thought we would head up the M6, just to crunch some miles. If others are going up the A1 and then the A66, we could look to meet up somewhere around Penrith, maybe for lunch, and then go on up all toghether from there. Just a thought.
  20. Whether in an office or not, it sounds like an invasion of privacy. Let HR know as he could be eavesdropping on highly confidential meetings, and they won't like that. Other than that tell 'Jeremy Hunt' that if he persists that he'll be able to listen to his bowls close up as that is where you might shove his new pen!
  21. I like all 3 so I am happy to go with the majority which seems to be the steak pie option
