    Fuel Pipes

doesn't have to be covered, just secured with suitable fixings at no more than 300mm spacing so that it can't vibrate, flex or rub on anything that will damage it. steve
  4. Tim theres a base map on the megajolt jr lite website - link on megasuirt for idiots thread in this section could also try the 16vmini forum steve
  5. standard sierra ones at the back and jaguar flexis on the front, 400mm, full length springs, lomg threads for going through body panels and leaving enough thread for securing nut and connection to rigid pipes. lucas part no. phc201 about £8 each from motor factors steve
  6. don't know if any of you applied for this account but apparently barclays have closed the offer after 50,000 people did. that means if every application is successful they'll have to pay out five million pounds. we got our forms back so hopefully £200 will be coming our way steve
  7. free to anybody who wants it, sump off a 1.8 cvh engine. supposed to be able to modify for a zetec conversion but not sure if thats right. oil pickup pipe also available steve
  8. theres another one in lincs thats up to £77 + £20 p+p so far, and also one in bristol that i'm watching thats a quid at the moment steve
  9. anybody who has booked ferry crossings with speed ferries check your sailing times and e-mail as they have brought all times forward by between 30 and 45 minutes. steve
  10. just a thought, but if these early mounts are becoming rare and expensive could you not modify any others to fit. this is a mini engine mounting maybe you could use the bottom 2 holes to bolt it in position, then fix a plate to the top - using some or all of the holes - that has a suitable size bolt(m10/12 can't remember) passed through it and welded in position. the bolt head could sit in the slot on the top of the mounting and any height difference made up by packing with washers these are only £3.50 a piece so not to expensive to experiment with steve
  11. its the full version, the one that was kicking around before was only 170 odd pages and had draft printed through it in pink steve
  12. or try here woolies about 2/3 of the way down the page steve
  13. hugh i think you may have a few insurance issues to deal with there, you either need a chassis or reg no. to get your car insured so you'll probably have to trailer it to the dvla or get them to come to you. when i was at the sva stage i went to dvla in manchester for a chassis no. and came out 2 hours later none the wiser. seemed i had to go round in circles til i disappeared up my own backside- can't have a chassis no. without sva, can't do sva without chassis no., can't insure without chassis no. and round and round and round! in the end i just made one up using the usual rhs************** method, got the insurance, had the sva, then the built up inspection - just thought sod it if they don't like the number i made up i can always grind it off and stamp the one they give me. some times you just have to give things a push to get the ball rolling or the bureaucrats will leave you sat there fuming for ever. steve
  14. doesn't appear to be any catches, have filled in the online application and are waiting for the paperwork in the next 4 days. during the application it asks if you want to have salary paid into the account, so just ticked the no box. steve
  15. just found this guy PAULF on the locost site if you scroll down this link you can see he's knocking out fully built megajolts for £75/tps and £85/map + p&p comes with software and saves trying to do it yourself if you aint good with electronics steve
  16. try sticking a jack under it to put some pressure on the joint and you may be able to undo the nut without cutting it off steve
  17. had the same problem, used meths and a bit of elbow grease, problem solved steve
  18. fancy a £100 for nothing? then follow this link barclays open an account, deposit £1000 or more for 2 months, receive £100 within 28 days of 2nd deposit, withdraw money and leave account with a penny in it t & c doesn't say you have to leave money in there so presume you can use it as normal for the month plan is after payday transfer £1000 leave it in for 24/48 hours to get credit then take it out again - so in theory if you had £1000 saved you could deposit it one month, withdraw and then redeposit the next month. hang on, just had another thought - if you were really devious you could open accounts for all members of your family with a few days between start dates and just keep using the same £1000 - very nice! its a limited offer so its first up best dressed - good luck! me and the missus are applying to open accounts now steve
  19. when i sva'd at chadderton the examiner ummed and arred about the mountney wheel then took the safe option of saying if i could provide evidence of compliance by producing a certificate or similar he would pass it on the retest. so i thought stuff it i drove to the retest and swapped to the sierra wheel just down the road from the centre, had the test, got the big mac, came out stopped on the road again and put the mountney back on. its only one nut and takes about two minutes and it passes yeah i know its cheating but its worth it steve
  20. i'm planning a vauxhall conversion and am collecting all the necessary bits. have looked at bike carbs as they don't need management and can run the sparks with megajolt for about £150 but as i've got a full engine i may go for later bike injection throttle bodies and use the vx cream injectors which are supposed to be good for stupid amounts of power, only thing is it means i'll have to go for full management of fuel and sparks and all the extra cost it incurrs steve
  21. could any super speccer let me know how thick the adaptor plate is i want to get one made up to fit a vauxhall engine to a type 9 gearbox have got a new ford bell housing that will need modding for the starter and can get the plate done in steel by local firm i have contacts with. steve
  22. has anybody else seen the advert for the new coins from the royal mint in the daily mail supplement today? it maybe in some other papers too 10 coins with a total value of £6.38 - yours for the knock down price of wait for it... £9.99 thats saving over 30% on the usual price of .... £14.95 plus £1.99 postage and packaging now thats how to make a profit! steve

  24. paul, take a look at these people FRA MINI full composite body in classic or clubman style, then you need a donor (sons car) for subframes, glass, interior, engine etc and the doors. last time i saw an add in a kitcar mag i think they were about £1400 + vat but dont take that as gospel steve
