Weather for next 10 days looking really nice so time to get out again.   We are going to brave the cold a bit and have out first picnic of the year    Tuesday 15th, 12:00 in the grounds of Burghley House (PE9 3JY), everyone welcome, even in tin tops if you haven't de-sorned your kit yet.

Darlington DL2 1JZ. I will be there from 7 00 pm and look forward to seeing both Old and New members.

Hope everyone (and their cars) survived the storms.  I lost about 1/3rd of my back garden fence but the parts blown down were rotten anyway and needed replacing.  Overall the February weather been too bad to do much so far but next week is looking reasonable.   The 'retiree' chapter of the Lincolnshire owners (and honorary Lincolnshire owners) will be meeting up for lunch at New Lodge Farm, near Corby (NN17 3DU  https://www.newlodgefarm.co.uk) at 12:00 on Wednesday 23rd.   Some of you will know it as the midpoint break on the Stilton Cheese Run.

Any other retirees or self employed or unemployed....  are welcome to join us, and my offer to organise a weekend event for the 'real workers' among you still stands

On  Wednesday 23rd of Feb. at the Church Mouse, Chester Moor, Chester-le-Street  DH23RJ  from 7-30pm,  providing of course that we haven't all been blown into the North Sea or under three foot of snow.   Looking forward to seeing everyone.

There is no meeting in February. The next meeting will be March 16th at The Gate Hangs Well from 7.30 pm

I was going to reschedule our post Christmas meal for this month but I'm not still confident that the venue can cope with 30+ of us turning up at the same time and eating so February's meet will just be a normal one (drinks and banter). That said, food is still available if people want to make their own booking for a smaller group.

To anyone in Surrey and surrounding counties, I would like to start up a WhatsApp/SMS group for anyone interested in an occasional run out.

I normally go for a short blast most weekends (I'm based in Reigate, Surrey) and it would be nice to meet up or tag along in convoy with anyone who is free.

I'm not much of a planner - if the weather is looking to be reasonable a couple of days before  and I've got free time, I'll just head off in a vague direction, usually via a cafe of some sort (my current favourite is the Chalet). I am not a very early riser, normally heading out between 8 - 9am, back by 11-12.

If this sounds like you, please PM or email (magazine@rhocar.org) your mobile number and I'll add you to the group (please specify if you prefer text or WhatsApp). I'll send out messages on WhatsApp/text if I'm going out - there is no pressure to join me, feel free to ignore them completely 

I might put posts up on here but I often make the decision on Saturday to go on Sunday and I realise most people don't look at the forum that often.
