We know its 5 months away and we are organizing our 4th Dirty Duck Camping weekend  for 2024,the event is open to anyone who wishes to join Sharon and myself for the weekend,we are hoping to see all the usual suspects and it would be lovely to see some new faces,

The camp site is next to a Canal side pub. and Belvoir Castle is a 5 minute drive where you can get food and drinks along with visiting the Castle.

The date for the event is Friday 14 June 2024 to Sunday 16 June 2024, we have booked pitch 3 from Thursday to Monday, I suggest booking early to get pitches in the same area to the left of the site, link to Booking and site plan

We will be eating in the Pub on site Friday evening and it would be great if you could join us, we will be happy to book your table and place your order nearer the time.

The club will be funding a BBQ on the Saturday evening for members, along with Play your cards right for those who would like to join in.

A run out will be planed for Saturday, details will follow later.

Please keep us updated on which pitches you have booked.

Hoping to see you this year , Sharon & Kerry

As most will know the Dirty Duck Pub will be closed when we are at the Dirty Duck weekend. We are looking at eating at The Chequers at Woolsthorpe on Friday night, which is in the next village.
This is a sample of the menu, children’s menu is available, if anyone is interested please let us know so we have provisional numbers, and we will go and have a chat with them. Please let us know asap. Thank you, Sharon & Kerry

Mary & I keen to join the dinner on Friday. WIll probably have the dog with us, so a table in the bar needed as dogs not allowed in the restaurant section. If you do talk to them, please encourage more than one vegan option as the sample menu is very sparse compared to The Dirty Duck.

Cheers

Simon

Hi Simon,

We are booked into the garden room which is now full, so I would suggest you book it with them directly and raise the point regarding the Vegan options.

Just got back from this great evening organised by @Kerry and Sharon. Camped over Thursday night to Sunday night, and whilst the weather was mixed, it's didn't dampen the weekend in any way.

Had a couple of nice drives out (more details to follow in the magazine), went bowling and generally had a good laugh.

Thanks to Kerry and Sharon, everyone who attended and mucked in and also to the club for providing some funding for the Saturday night BBQ.

This is probably a good point to remind members that the club can provide funding for local events for members. They don't need to be elaborate, just something that will encourage people to get together and have a good time. Anyone who would like to organise something can contact any Committee member with ideas or to ask for advice if they need help getting the ball rolling.
