Round Britain Run For Charity

I forgot about Touring cars. Can get sigs off most of the drivers and have Pics of him in the Pits and cars if you like. However, will probably only do a couple of meetings this year with everything else going on.

Don't think I'll get my hands on the Trophy again this year :D

i feel it dont matter what car you run , i feel you can be involved . we are a group of like minded people

and some of us drive hoods , others dont but are still hoodies this i feel is about the club and its ability to pull together to achieve a purpose , not about the tin we drive .

i say this as i have had today a couple of conservations with members concirned they dont feel able to contribute due to the cars they have .

as said, if phil wants to run this i have no prob at all , phil kev and i are talking off line as needed .

this is the club doing something not about any individual .

so keep up the ideas ,

graham

ps sorry guys dan was signed in before he went home from work , so wrong sign in !

just to clarify if you would like us to kick off at stonleigh, and also timing i would say a month for each area so we get enough time for promo in each given area, also if there are any areas which are short of cars my lads have said they would drive to said area within reason to help with promo..

Replying to an earlier post by Alan? I'm available 24/7; even for Stonehenge although that's the middle of the night; as said before my motor is still at the pondering & building stage so any visits would be tin-top or we can provide camping site for any Hoody Bear & minder who travels this way. Next year the run could fit in with our annual "Kits & Classics BBQ" week-end, which this year will be Sat/Sun 17/18 April.

so 8 oclock has passed do we have a name,

i spoke to kev this evening , unfortunatly phill is pulling his bell so i cant speak to him till later ,

we think this is becoming far toooooo much for phill on his own to deal with , neither kev or me are capable of assisting to the degree that the cause deserves , we think with phills agreement that we need the assistance of other members to

co-ordinate the general running of this charity event , keep your powder dry at the mo till i have spoken to phill ,

no doubt when he has finnished pulling his bell he will be on line to respond , the respose so far has been overwhelming

and to do this cause justice we think we need to sort out a chain of command .

ps i am happy to be a foot soldier .

I agree with Graham, whilst I think Phill is doing a fantastic job and is pushing this with all his might we need to do a bit of deligation here because if one person is doing it all he may(sorry phill not trying be derogitory) it to much and you end up not knowing if you are coming or going so as Graham has said we need a sub committe to help liason all this. IMHO I would like to see Ian getting involved in this as he has the experience in dealing with these things. (again sorry Ian but you are good at what you do) just my thoughts. Kev

It would have been nice to have been asked first :D

I spend quite a lot of my free time setting up what I already do.(the shows)

Due to the hotel managers changing my pattern of attendance it seems I might not make all the shows this year.

Also I am trying to get, at the moment, 22 weddings organized this summer, so sadly I will have to walk away now, sooner than offer help and let every one down later.

Great idea, great cause, and I feel sure that some people will step up to the bar.

Sorry to post after my own post but thanx guys for all your support this is just the beginning its up to you guy to make this works.

I need the support from the areas after the launch at Stoneleigh.

I will do my best to get the most from the launch but you guys will neeed to make sure you get the media coverage for what you do in your area remember this is about a bear making a lot of money for the air ambulance.

Some events may have to take priority over others, example if you are going to take a photo of the bear next to the "angel of the north" great but if it has a chance to meet the cast of eastenders and have its travel log signed the angel has to wait.

Hope thats ok with you guys the bear and book with famous signatures is worth a lot more than a bear and local sights so get thinking guys we need names in that travel log.

I can get this thing to Stoneleigh but you guys can make it work.

Thanx again for all the support and sorry to those who have had to put up with me on the phone.

Phil shelton

ist so far can we pick counties not towns for now guys we can look at towns as we move on thankyou

If I have missed you off sorry just let me know, And remember we need more than one to each if poss

Guest Bob's Babe

On the point of what car Hoody travels in, I am totally in favour of Hoody travelling in any car that a club member has!

True , we would pick a Robin Hood first, but any old tin pot kit car will do surely...........joke!!!! 8P

and if a kit isn't available for a particular trip on a particular date then being escorted by a RHOCAR member in a tintop or even on a bus will just have to do....... :unknw:

surely our bear isn't too choosey, so long as he is raising money!!!

SUE
