Here is the new Viva for anyone who is getting very excited about it, £8k apparently.

Also a booklet on the front seat, wonder what the dealer would think if it was taken in.

Won't be long before they do a vxr model to keep up with the fizzy.

Hope they are more reliable than the old one. I remember someone telling my that they had travelled thirty miles from bury st Edmunds to Cambridge and had seen four broken down or abandoned by the side of the road. I hasten to add this was probably in the early eighties!

I loved my HB Viva. Many hours of fun and a great car to learn mechanics on (drums all round!!).

 

Not too sure about the new one.....

I used to drive a viva van. It could be very entertaining. With no load there was little weight over the rear axle and occasionally needed some anti-lock through the steering.

Another fascinating feature was the way you could adjust the tappet clearance by ear. You could leave the engine running, remove the rocker cover and tighten the nuts on the rockers. It took about 10 minutes.
