Hi,

Anyone know if you can buy the extenders between the rack and track rod. My n/s one the thread to the track rod has bent..I can either try and bend it back or get another

Thx

Dont know I only know there on mine..

Managed to heat and remove the large threaded side that goes into the ball joint. Just need to know the size and get a new piece of threaded bar or change the ball joint to a long Male threaded end instead of a female like it is now..

Can you post a picture up so I can see what you are looking at as my 3A does not use extensions.

Have to say that doesn’t sound like a Sierra rack at all unless I am misunderstanding something.

Do you mean you have a bent tie rod/track rod. Probably best to replace it and you get the bonus of a new inner ball joint and they are not expensive.

Didn’t some earlier cars use metro steering racks ?

My car is pre-Series 3 and uses a sierra rack.  I think there were some that did but they were pre sierra donors

if it is sierra, like longboarders picture and it needs extending, then look at granada.... the rods are a bit longer

The cars a 3a New so there are noticable differneces in the suspension setup to that of a 3a i.e. stearing rack is higher as it sits on a stainless steel box section.
