Prefer rotary to fixed.

Dragonfly

Whirlwind

And in

Various whirlwinds

Wessex

Wasp

SeaKing

And on the winch from

Wasp

Wirlwind

Wessex 5

In the second cod war they lowered me on the wire in a force nine from a wasp to a casualty on a trawler and tangled me in the mast stays. Definitely the closest to death I have been. Hanging there in the rigging wondering if the winchman would 'cut' the wire on the next roll leaving me falling to the deck or into the sea, both of which were not good. Luckily popped free on the roll and went on down to certify the poor casualty stone dead. They put him on ice with the fish and sent me on my way with a mild thrashing from the radio whip aerials on the stern.

Not that this has anything to do with cars I have drove.

Reliant Kitten Estate. (Caramel coloured... nice) 848cc -40 hp!!!

Jago Jeep 1600 x-flow.

Mk2 XR2 (First "real" car-with a proper heater-wow!)

MK3 XR2i, lowered, changed cam, silly hi-fi.

1991 Celica ZR (import-great car)

1996 Nissan 200ZX touring. 2ltr turbo intercooled. Lovely, fast, comfy, but a bad buy, mechanicaly unsound. Dodgy "black boxes" on engine and gearbox ;) Part-ex'd after a short while for...

1993 MR2 GT-T Bar. Superb handling. Quick too.

Hood 3a, slow, uncomfortable, always tinkering, but receiving most looks. Love it. :D

Next.. Who knows?

Well there's some interesting machinery so far. Here's my list in the order I got them.

MkI Astra (1300 great little car and dead easy to work on - I'd give good money for a 1600SR if anyone see's a solid one)

'69 Airportable Land-Rover (Cool motor and tax-exempt but didn't like motorways).

'87 Metro CityX (rot-box but my could it shift - once I messed with the engine that is and LOUD)

'70 Airportable Land-Rover (with a V8 - wouldn't rev high enough to do more than about 60 but could spin all four 12.5" wide tyres on a dry road)

'87 Sierra 1.8LX (Oil Burner extraordinaire)

'87 Escort 1.6 diesel (basic plodder)

'97 Citroen Saxo (bought it for the Stereo and sold the rest quick)

'90 Fiesta 1.1 (burned as much oil as petrol - sold it to a coloured gent for a profit)

'79 Mini 850 Super (more filler than metal at the front - previous owner syndrome)

'87 Sierra 2.0i Ghia (Great car until some prawn in a van ran into the back of it - the 2.1 I built for it is now in the 2B and it went to become a JBA)

'91 Rover 214i (practical and sensible until the head-gasket started showing signs of going - gave it to Cabin Boy)

There was a V8 bob-tailed Range-Rover in there somewhere too but not sure whereabouts as I didn't have it long.

From here on in I've still got them.

'76 Mini Clubman 1100

'76 Mini Clubman Auto

'70 Mini Clubman (times two)

Robin Hood 2B (bought in between the 87 Sierra and the Escort)

'80 Reliant Scimitar (daily driver and BMW scaring machine)
