  1. As above guys I've removed my Sierra servo as I don't need it do to running bike carbs and not running a vacuum so read the ford ka master is a good replacement. I have the 3 port version but the holes don't line up to bolt to the Sierra pedal box without the master been off centre or pointing at 1 o'clock I think it is. How have others done it? Cheers Mike.
  2. Perfect I'll go down that route I think it looks better than a cv boot
  3. As above what have people used to keep the Iva man happy when it comes to the chassis box edge and the wishbone to satisfy the sphere. Some if seen just u trim ad others either cv boot or steering rack stretched on if so what models so I can order some. If like to get these sorted before riveting the infill panel on for the last time. Any pics would be brilliant. Many thanks Mike

    Retest Pass

Do you have any photos of your new harness mounts ? Thanks
  5. Got some more time in the garage today and with a help from a friend fitted the passenger side panel very pleased with the results and no kinks!!! Just followed the steps on North west rho. Few pics below just incase anyone spots any errors cheers Mike
  6. Had the exact same issues with a Saab dashboard lights all pulsing included external lights then dials started going strange and many warning lights going on and off all the time all of this whilst going down the motorway just made it into a services and it died. Was the alternator at fault on that occasion.

    Alternator

Slightly off topic but could you post some pics of the alternator bracket I'm currently looking at ways to mount my denso one to the pinto. Cheers Mike.
  8. So I've finished installing the fuel filler neck and cap today a job that consumed far to many hours than it should of done. I've decided to stick with the original location for now and will see how it goes as to wether I move it onto the top. Also been tieing up some odd jobs one of which was connecting the dizzy to the coil now it's all fixed in their final locations made a little fly lea up for this and have decided to use the tyco connectors incase indeed to remove items they can simply be unplugged will be doing the same for fuel pump and indicators on nose etc. rather pleased with this bit Only question I have are the dizzy wires ok running with the ht lead as well??? Was unsure if I would experience any electrical interference??? Then made a start fabricating a alternator bracket to fit my denso.
  9. I replaced mine for a nice shiny one from a breakers yard I'll see if the old one is knocking about can't remember if it got thrown or not tho. I'll check today if it's there you can have it for postage costs. Cheers Mike.

    Heat Sheild

    Where is this for? Silencer?
  11. Yeah I need to get the bonnet mounted to the nose cone and all sat on. Do you know how much of the bonnet overlaps the top dash tube or so they all vary?
  12. Update So things are moving slowly but moving non the less I'm mid way through fitting the fuel flap just need to get some of the pipe powder coated this afternoon then I can get that bit all bolted up. Had a nice big parcel in the post today which contained my new dash from kit spares. Although I must say I'm slightly disappointed that it needs quite abit of work to for even though it was for the 2b was hoping it would be a bit nearer fit. Few pics of the dash sat in place as close as it goes for now. Cheers Mike.

    Ripped My Sump Out...

Breakers yard for a second hand sump?
  14. Thanks nick. I have seen that one does it fit through and cover the daisy hole cut out tho? Thanks Mike
  15. Cheers everyone so my next question is how have people got it fitted tight against the panel obviously the filler flap goes through the daisy cut out and bolts to the metal flange on the filler pipe but I can't see how it takes up the slack and pulls the cap in tight to the stainless panel. Cheers Mike.
  16. Thanks for all the replys guys. Yeah the 90 hose I have is fuel rated so won't rot and gave a nice curve so filling should be ok. I'll drop you a pm regards the seat belt mounts as I've not done them yet. Cheers Mike
  17. I thought a bead of weld but that is brilliant I bet a rivet fitted in there from the top down would suffice plus it should seal the hole then I can cut the pipe a couple of inches back and fit to my rubber 90. Cheers
  18. So I just remembered I had this in a box of bits which matches up but there's no where for the latch to grab so keep it locked?
  19. So thought I'd get the locking fuel flap fitted into the rear panel tonight but I can't for the life of me work out how it connects to the rubber hose down to the tank unless I'm missing something? Pics of what I have are below thanks.
  20. Dashboard is ordered and will be using the big heads they look just the job
  21. Yeah no problem not ordered it yet might get it ordered tonight. Anyone know of any cheaper ones that kit spares as there £93 posted seems a lot for a bit of grp found some in other sites but unsure if they will fit the 2B
  22. As above how have people fitted their grp dash into their 2b? Obviously there's the route of using stainless done head Allen key bolts to screw it on but wondered if anyone had fitted one without the screws /bolts been visible and what brackets they used? Cheers Mike.

    Fire Pit

Ha there brilliant new project for the garden
  24. I fitted the smith one compatible for my smiths telemetrix gauge and upon testing which luckily I did still on the bench had the same issue so also mentioned in a small diagram in the instructions for some models you need led to flip the device on the rod which then read correctly.
