    One Of Them Days !

Well came home today had an hour in the garage and have now found all the correct wires (both headlight flash and washer pump) So hope to finish the rewire Sunday work allowing
  3. Hi I also have fitted the bearing on the bulkhead but found steering notchy then I realised I had to pull the steering column up a bit as it was rubbing somewhere just off center inside the column so I undone the two UJ bolts and pulled the steering wheel up about 10mm eld it with a spanner as a spacer then done the bolts up - steering now perfect

    One Of Them Days !

Well BEV is 90% rewired I just wish ford would just put one live or switched live to there stalks !!!! The only wires I can't find are the headlight flash and the washer pump but looking in the manual it seems the flash just earth's a relay and the washers are a world unto them self's I've only had 1 day on it so far with work commitments but still pushing for Stoneleigh! !!

    Tfi Module Question

Hi did you see the full email I sent you also
  7. Hi I was also considering doing both but a traffic police friend said that there clamping down on the aftermarket fitment of these and the car can be impounded if I'm pulled by a traffic officer if seen you need headlight washers / projector lens / automatic height adjustable lights etc Somethings are not worth the agg and it seems VOSA are making it an offence on MOT so as the new rules state - if a car fails it's mot it can now not be driven on the road
  8. Hi Burton power sell adjustable length steering bosses don't think there the cheapest around but at least you can adjust it to suit yourself.

    French Driving

Hi yer the breathalyser thing never became law but I still carry one as if not the french police will get you on something my job means I spend on average 4 days a week in Europe (just off to Switzerland in morning for two weeks) but the speed traps are becoming more and more I find it best to just set the cruise control and just sit there
  10. So go out today for a afternoon blast came through the Limehouse link tunnel touch the brakes and woosh poor BEV lights up like a Christmas tree!!! Then goes up in smoke like an genie something has gone straight to earth in a Major way and in a big cloud of smoke the car stops - then the numpty in the transit behind me starts bibbing and waving his arms cos I've stopped !!!! After a few words in reply from me he decides it's best be quiet and lock his door!! And go round me So I get it started and limp it home but if you touch and thing metal let's just say it's not fun got home and 3/4 of the loom has melted - so now need to do complete rewire before Stoneleigh - nothing like a deadline to work to is there
  11. Hi I have this fitted to my s7 and when I having my ecu set up at webcon it was dam near spot on the good bit is it can calibrate itself as the sensor wears so stays very accurate
  12. Hi does anyone have a wiring diagram of what wires on the collumn link with what to allow me to rewire my loom I've looked in my workshop manual but it's quite poor to be honest what I'm trying to do is make my own loom from scratch but am struggling to find what wires go where to give me headlights/wipers etc my switches have the square hazard button not the round one
  13. Hi just throwing this out here for pointers as I'm missing something OK I have the grand espace v6 3.0 diesel Over the holiday I removed the engine and changed the head gaskets I have put the engine back in but now it won't start it starts for a second then cuts out it gives a fault code of cam sensor with 3 examples 1- cam sensor open circuit 2- cam sensor signal incomprehensible 3- cam sensor signal incomprehensible with engine speed So I have checked - cam timing , pump timing , all top dead centre marks , Removed timing belt again and again checked everything is lined up via auto data replaced both crank and cam sensors made a part loom from sensors to ECU ( it is a renault ) And still I get this fault code I have tried new feeds to sensors and independent earth's the sensors are quite simple as in two wires - signal and earth the car drove to my lockup (but was pushing water from header hence head gaskets ) I'm now lost I'm missing something -but just can't see it the fault code was not present before removing engine
