  1. Mot next week so I thought I'd check it over. My hazards are only working on near side. The indicators all work fine when used normally. With hazards only left ones work, but if I indicated right all hazards work fine. Have cleaned all contacts at the indicator stalk connector. Tried new relay. Checked earth's. I'm a bit stumped. They have been fine before. I'm thinking it may be the switch? Any ideas? Tia
  2. Hi. Welcome to our world. It's quite tricky to advise too much on the issues. Every car will have been built differently so diagnosis of the guages is difficult. To lose all of them implies a fuse. Then you have to find out why it blew. Are they all separate or an all in one display of some sort? Indicators as well is slightly strange as they shouldn't be connected. Possibly an earth issue. Oil leaks are not uncommon on old pintos but should be sorted anyway. Usual culprits are rocker cover gasket or sump gasket ,crank seals. Can you see the rough area where it is coming from? I can't be much more help. I'm sure someone will be along with more help maybe. Good luck.

    Robin Hood S7 Info

Hi Richy. I've just sent you a PDF of a manual. Hope it helps. David
  7. Thanks for that. My wife will be navigating now which is great because it's a complicated route. Definitely not just head south.
  8. You should have a bar that folds back and is held in place by straps. This is the usual method
  9. I've just had the start list. Some fantastic cars in the lineup. I have a couple of 2bs just behind me. Should be fun.
  10. Hi. Welcome to the club. I have attached a copy of the full build manual. It may give you some clues. Good luck. David 463815611_fullbuildmanual.pdf
  11. Luckily the old switch came out easily otherwise I would have been cutting a whole in the tunnel. It had fallen apart. New switch in and working.
  12. This has been given the go ahead. Anybody else signed up?
  13. Thanks all. Looking at pictures of replacement switches it's clear the middle has dropped out of mine so I've ordered a new one. Hopefully problem solved then.
  14. Hi. I noticed that the reverse light plug has come unplugged and was hanging down under the car. I can only just get at the socket from beside the gear lever. Does this plug just push in? I did the best at full finger stretch but lights aren't working. Does the plug have to go in a certain way? Thanks in advance.

  16. Hi. I went to through the same issues a few years ago. I couldn't find an off the shelf kit for the tie bars so made my own using the original anti roll bar. Have a look for Dave Andrews on Google. It's got loads of useful info including some drawings for the brackets. As for the springs, 120 is about right. Size depends what coilovers you have at the moment. If they are the original Zimmerman's it is well worth replacing the whole units. I managed to find some used ones which fitted fine. Lots of people recommend Dave at Dampertec who knows his stuff about these cars. Having done the work it's great to see the wheels moving up and down.

    Weber carb

Hi. That's the connection to the vacuum advance on your distributor.
  18. I replaced the first stage spring with a tighter one. Now running at 12 degs without any pinking and feels much better. Worth fiddling!
  19. It's more comfy when I nod off
  20. Took her up to a local hill to blow off the cobwebs. Beautiful day on the South Downs. Various winter fixes working well. Happy days.
  21. I've decided while I'm at it to replace the top ball joints. I'll be doing a lot of fiddling so will check over all the alignment settings once done. Thanks for all the help.
  22. Thank you. To be honest I'm not hugely worried about the ride height as it's not bad. But improving the geometry sounds like a good enough reason to raise the mushrooms a bit. I will double check the top mount end stops but I'm pretty sure I checked when I installed new coilovers last year as I realized the danger of stressing the ball joints.
  23. Great info from everyone as usual. Many thanks!
  24. Many thanks. That makes perfect sense and is a good reason to raise it. The car is in fact an S7 monocoque mk 2 but I think it still applies as the lower suspension arm is horizontal and the top wishbone does point down.
  25. I've obviously got too much time on my hands and can't stop fiddling until I can get out again. My Sierra based front suspension has the mushrooms. I know rotating adjusts various things but I was wondering what raising them dies? They are both sat at the lowest setting and I've seen several pictures where they are set much higher. Geometry isn't my strong point. If they were higher does this compress the onboard coilovers and therefore raise the ride height? Mine is pretty good but I'll take anything I can get with the state of my local roads Would it also change the camber or caster? I know I could just try it but knowledge is always useful. Cheers.
