    Fuel Everywhere!

Check the float bowl drain screws while carbs are on and check the common mistake of putting the fuel pipe into air intakes instead of fuel inlet. Other than that looks like a carbs off jobby
  6. I am not by no means a vegetarian, but the one and only place I will not eat meat is KFC. Its not so well publicised here in the UK as some other countries (I learned about it in Germany) but like agent zed says its the way they are reared. There are as many chickens as humans on the planet but no other is treated so badly and on such a huge scale. Here`s a quick video, and yes it is Pamela Anderson, but the rest of the birds dont look so good (not for the kids by the way) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFgbHK6yP2g

    Bike Carbs

Could be the mixture running a bit lean, in the past though whenever I have had popping/backfiring it has always been air leaking through the hoses (ie not making a good seal usually on the carb side as opposed to the runners side) Try spraying WD40 round the hose ends while its running, if the engine speeds up you have an air leak.

Done 4000 miles since i had the car, the engine had been rebuilt maybe 1000 miles before that. Im going to do an oil change but as the topic says does it pay to flush and what flush is recommended? Thanks in advance

  13. Off a female friend Why Men Don't Write Advice Columns Dear Walter, I hope you can help me here. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbor's daughter. I am 41, my husband is 44, and the neighbor's daughter is 22. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counseling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore. Can you please help? Sincerely, Sheila ****************************** Dear Sheila: A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump& nbsp; itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors. I hope this helps, Walter

    Cables

After snapping my accelerator cable I read an article on the web about making/modifying cables. I got a pushbike brake cable with a barrel end (for bike carbs) then got the old sierra swivel type nipple that joins the pedal and drilled out the old cable in the shaft, inserted the cable then filled it full of silver solder (Maplins) which really seems to have held it but time will tell. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this?
