  2. ok thats everything but the dizzy changed! give up! am i allowed ion the stand in a tin top?
  3. got new rotor arm and coil pack but no amplifier (Not in stock) other than the one in the 2b but this is a 2L will this be compatable.

Only took the battery terminal off so should'nt be unless i have upset some cabling did not remove the inlet,. would the coil miss on certain cylinders if faulty? i have a 2L hood on my drive but not sure if the coil and amp would be the same. there is a tick coming from near the dizzy hinting towards an earth issue.
  5. All, to cut a long story short, after soring out my engine mount after noticing the bolt had sanpped my 1.6 pinto with is now not a happy bunny. She ran beutifully prior to doing this. she starts up and runs but a bit lumpy and when driving under accelleration she is spluttering. I have changed the plugs, leads and dizzy cap but no joy. I have put the timing light on all four leads to see if i can pick up a siganl and 1 is good with an odd miss, 2 is as it should be, 3 is as 2 but 4 is only flassing every so often? Anyway this is an appeal for any assistance in the leicester area this evening to try and get this sorted or i am not going to make donnington :-( i will be around after 5 ish. and tea, coffee and buiscuits will be made avaliable to any that can assist. or if you have any ideas please lt me know thanks keith

  7. Even though he does not care anymore, i would like to appologise to the poor little birdy that decided to fly out of a bush as i was driving by in the zero! There seems to be a trend with me and roadkill!!!
  8. I have to admit i do like the ratio of the 4 speed. and it is a type 9 i beleive as the gear levers are the same and interchangeable between the two. I beleive that the zero has both mounting options for either box. if i do change to the 5 speed will the diffence in length affect the engine mounting or is this why i need a different prop size? thanks for the relys so far. keith
  9. i am looking at transplanting the 2L pinto and type 9 box from my old 2b into my zero. the zero has a 1600 pinto with a 4 speed box and a 3.62 diff. will it be a strait forward changeout? will i need to use the prop from the 2b or are they different? I assume the diff will be compatable? does any one know of any complications i should be aware of prior to doing this? many thanks keith

  14. i though the acewell units had an option to change the rating of the fuel sender. "Bar-Fuel Meter + 100/250/510 ohms and off" the 250 setting should work!
