  1. I think taking your v5 with you just confuses things better off leaving it at home
  2. Hi all I have 1.6 drum brakes on the rear of my zero which are 203mm drums. Cant seem to get them anywhere however there are plenty of other ford drums that are 203mm does anyone know if any of these fit. Looking at old escort/orion capri etc the all have same bolt pattern. I have found some things online which suggest they will but nothing concreate. regards keith
  3. I had this issue with one MOT tester in the past but when they put the details into the Computer the computer does state that the date of first use was 1986 which reading the kit car section of the MOT Guide is what it tells the testers to use for emissions if not detailed on the V5. Last year a friend did my MOT but this year I Highlighted this to the tester before we began and he did a quick check and agreed.
  4. So if we "accidently" start a fire you can come! lol
  5. I have to get there ahead of you lot so will see you there. Tickets are no longer available as of 12PM today (Got in just in time kevin) this is to allow Craig to organise food etc Don't forget to bring your favourite tipple for the evening if you are camping/have a chauffeur! The event has received club funding however a small donation is suggested as detailed in the event description to ensure that Craig is not out of pocket. Any funds left will be donated to charity. Hope to see you all there and in the kits regards keith

  11. Nope plan as set out it we go with date one if rained off go for date two etc! Etc! As said no probs
  12. Short notice? Lol 18th Feb is not early enough. No worries might go along not sure I can make the other two I have posted. Hopefully a few of us will go though and set some benchmark times
  13. gbs carried out the work, all new wishbone, replacement drive shaft etc but do not believe they changed the hub. I get a clicking/ticking noise (Rotary as its consistent between clicks) when turning right only. My thoughts are that if they had to change the shaft that the bearing would have taken a battering too and wonderful google suggest the symptoms point to the bearing.
  14. would this cause the issue or is it fair to say they need replacing? Did get a bit of a wack last year! Will see if I have big enough socket and check

    Had My Iva Today

Well done another on the road
  16. I had to bend my stays to get the sports wings to fit level. Done not matter so much on the non flat top type. I just stikaflexed mine on using loads to ensure a good bond. I had to re-do them recently as ended up with wider tyres and were rubbing on stays. though I had them on strait but dried wonky!
  17. hi all, I have worked on most elements of my kit and know it relatively well however one section I know nothing about is the rear drive train. I have a clicking noise when going round roundabouts / turn sharply and have recently started getting a grind/wiring noise from drivers side. From what I have read it points to hub bearing. the drive shaft has been replaced (By GBS) as it was damaged after a slight mishap. can anyone local ish to me that can change my hub bearings as I don't know where to start. I am hoping that the replacement drive shaft fitted is good and the bearing is the issue but open to advise. alternatively if anyone has any rear hub carriers (In usable condition) available (Drum brakes - Push in shaft) that I can purchase please drop me a message. many thanks keith PS. Don't forget your EOSB tickets! Link at top of page.
