  1. Just another thought, do you use the Google account feature of chrome, because that uploads your info to its server and downloads it to machines you log into Google with, which can also be made automatic in background, I belive, your auto login will be updated from the Google server, so you may have to check the info is not being reinstated by Google.
  2. I don't see the point in going to that trouble, Rhocar cookies will only log you in when you go to the site, you will be logged out automatically when you move away from the page.
  3. I haven,t read the entire thread, but from what I have, I would say that the problem? Is not with the Rhocar wed site. On my system I expect to find myself signed in when I go to a site. I know that if I was to go to Rhocar from another machine I will be signed out, even if still signed in on the first. The reason, as far as I am aware, is that the info is stored away from the browsers, in a system password file. When ever I go to a web site it simply logs me in, no fafing, does make it a problem if I have to log on from another system, because, as I rarly type it I can never remember it. Can't have everything I suppose.
  4. Do you know which motor you have?
  5. A lot of maths to prove? I dont think anyone is disputing the advantages, but there are disadvantages, fewer, if you have more cylinders, but still disadvantages, all the same. I think the point here, and with many of the topics on this and other sites, is to look at every option, alternative, and opinion and decide, as informed as possible, what is best for YOU. JMHO

  8. Depends if the benefits, to you, outway the disadvantages.
  9. All good info, but may be of no use on YOUR car. Pretty sure Thrashed is Ford based. Mazda has diffent settings. There are also different damper lengths on some, and it may be on ATR. 1 Tyre pressures 2 Decide how you will use car. Road, track, bit of both. Take into account road condition, and possible loads. 3 Set height according to Q2, ranges 90 to 130 front, 10mm rake front to rear, think Micks was Robin Hood, take into account damper length, particularly rear. 4 Set camber front and rear, ranges from .5 to 2 dependant on Q2 5 Set track front and rear dependant on Q2 Road test car and see if it is right for you. NO Start again ☺ YES fine until you change use, or drive in different conditions. For average use, tell the factory your spec and take their advice. JMHO
  10. I wouldn't believe all you read, washers may be a little excessive, I used shims.

    Fuel Gauge

what make of gauges do you have?
  14. I think you are looking in section 31 "seat belts", My copy has a note 14, its earlier than the one on the government web site. it reads Note 14: The “effective anchorage” is any point where the load from a belt would be applied, consideration should be made to the suitability of the seat to withstand the loads likely to be imposed. See section 19 It is not part of the current manual, I think its wording is not now applicable although the reference to section 19 "seat belt anchorages" is. I would look carefully at that section for your answer.
  15. if not visible, best leave it be, chemicals can do all sorts of things, including reducing the bond.

  17. no not auto correct just the fact I have never seen their name in print so spelt it as verbally told to me quick google they are Schnorr safety lock washers type S. http://www.shop4fasteners.co.uk/washers/schnorr-safety-lock-washers/schnorr-safety-lock-washers-type-s-self-colour/c-24/p-197 appear to do minimal damage, look far better when fitted than a normal spring type
  18. nothing to do with what is perfectly OK, just what the IVA will look for. 8.8 or above on everything. yes there are degrees of strength allowed to fasten non structural parts together, that is a judgement for the tester, if it is 8.8 there is no argument, stainless is A2-7, imperial three lines. there are bolts on a Zero that are imperial. IVA requires "visible locking device", nylock, spring washer but NOT with flat washer, and yes they damage the surface of the part they are used on, best not used at all, snar washer less damage much better device, philidas nut. Lock tight is not visible, so bolts fitted with it should be marked as such, you may be asked to prove it. 8.8 on zero master cylinder is vital, as is larger washer due to adjuster slot, lock nut.
  19. you can get 3.2 rivit drills, usually double ended
  20. iva needs proof of engine age or they test to new standard, Zetec is after 1995 so will have to meet emissions.
  21. that flasher relay will not work without pin 31 being earthed. have a diagrame for the savage switch somewhere will try and find it and post asap
