1957 Ford 100E Anglia, cost £35 in 1966 and I took my test in it. followed immediately by 4 mates camping in the New Forest.

Would have it back for old times sake, but with 3 gears, no synchro on 1st, 20mpg and those vaccuum wipers ?? Not really ! :o

Wish I'd kept all my cars, would make a nice collection now :D

1936 Morris 8 series E BJY 522 £25 in 1962 , with wooden floor boards & red leather seats , parked it on a bomb site for a couple of days and then went to Police station to report all wheels stolen , starter motor , dynamo , engine stripped , Police have not changed though as they just laughed and joked what can we do . Then went on to a 1952 Morris Minor Convertable PAU 1 £25 in 1964 , lots of summer fun was had in that car oh yes .

Mine was a 1958 Morris Minor Traveller (848 GEH) cost me £25 back in 1975. Had a blown head gasket when I got it, did it up a bit and sold it 10 months later for £120. Yep I would have it back anyday.

1968 HB Viva - under 1100cc and green with drum brakes all round. No inertia reel seatbelts and a hand push windscreen wash. Soon had tiger-skin seat covers and fluffy rear shelf fitted (well, it was what we did back then  )

My first car was a 1972 Daf 33 Delux Variomatic LHD. Given to me by a neighbour when I was 13 years old.

Four year to restore with the help of my dad.

The 650cc engine that was fitted was replaced with a brand new 850cc Daf 44 engine which I got from a local breakers still in its crate for the high price of £25 :o OH the power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First car I ever changed panels on, learned to weld and sprayed myself

Wish I had kept it now with a MPG of around 57, would have saved a small fortune on petrol

I'd forgotton how old some of you lot are

lol mine was the S7, got it when I was 16 and basically took everything apart and put it back together over the summer, learnt pretty much everything from it, from brakes to engine swaps and also how to spray. The shiny new paint job made sure it definately stood out at the student car park at college :D

Would I have it back? definately...
