Let's take a minute to remember what the ice bucket challenge is all about. It was created to create awareness of a disease called ALS amyotrophic lateral sclerosis a degenerative motor neurone disease. As the motor neurones die the sufferer can become paralysed and will eventually die as they lose the ability to move and breathe.

So if you nominate someone and they take up the challenge please make a donation to one of the ALS support organisations.

Lost my Step Dad last year to ALS after a 2 year degeneration and my Mother in Law to cancer also.

Being honest, I'd never heard of ALS nor the amount of people it effects until this ice bucket challange came along. So I'm glad of my nomination last night by Phil and I will be donating straight afterwards.
