I'd echo Marcus' comment about the Bosch cordless. I also have one - its an expensive piece of carp. I wouldn't buy one again.

I've reverted to a standard mains powered drill which I got from B&Q for a fiver - expecting it to last 5 minutes but its still working 3 years later and I use it probably 3-4 times a week.

Any cheaply from B n Q will do. Just remember to take it back before the warranty runs out saying it don't work no more and start all over again with a brand new one. Make sure the gearbox is broken before you try this though.

While I was building my car I had 5 £10 B&Q drills, all replaced under warranty,

There are a lots of rivet holes needed......!

My expensive Bosch mains drill is still pristine.

I also have a smaller than usual Dewalt cordless 10.8 Li Ion

DCD710. It is pretty light and about 2/3 size of any other cordless I have.

Great for tight corners on the car as well as all my modelling needs

Highly recommended.

I've got one of those plugs that fits into a light bulb holder on mine, doesn't fit into the new small holders, which is a bit of a nuisance!!!

Don't forget your candles so you can still see what you are doing when you take the bulb out to plug your drill in.

I used a Halfords own battery drill for years until something went u/s with it.

Replaced it with a De Walt 18v battery drill, but couldn't get on with it for some reason.

So replaced the De Walt with an 18v Makita which I am more than happy with.

Like Dan, I also have a Bosch mains drill as well and have had it for 20+ years and it's still going stong.

Al, pm sent.
