OK peeps, someone had to be the first. I have booked the following:

 

Thursday 14th Premier Inn Stafford North (Hurricane) £45 - breaks up the journey north a bit

Friday 15th Premier Inn Dumbarton/Loch Lomond £35

Tuesday 19th Premier Inn Fort William £45

 

Still Skye and Durness to sort but this is a start.

i,ve booked the same as david just skye and durness to do when details are finalized, i now have 2 days free to build the engine and gearbox i intend the car to be on the rd with in 2 weeks. Then commute to work in it and rack a 1000miles (2 weeks commute) up quick smart......

Ok my lovely daughter has agreed to have her birthday without me so I have booked the above premier inns.

 

I'll book the rest when known

We have booked Premier Inns at -- Stafford North / 14th & Dumbarton-L/Lomond 15th for our trip up.

 

Premier Inn F/William 19th & will then break our journey south at Dumfries before continuing to a stop somewhere around Birmingham on maybe Thurs/Friday.

 

And then home.

Not wishing to subject anyone to my loud snoring in a bunk house I've booked the Rhichonich Hotel about half an hour south of Durness for the 18th.

 

(for the same reason also I have also booked a single room at Dunollie)

 

No going back now !

 

Just got to get the following done on the car

 

Water pump and timing belt change.

Crank front oil seal.

Fit water and oil temp gauge and oil pressure gauge.

Fit new roof and wire up heated rear window.

Fast Road Wheel alignment booked for 5.2.16.

Skye is damned near full up -- only a few places remaining ( & quite expensive ) have we any movement on place to stay yet?

 

This was looking at a Booking.com map -- maybe the wrong one.

Back on post #51, Whiz said he had spoken to The Dunollie and they have provisionally reserved us 12 places for the 2 nights. He was going to gt a booking reference for us to use.

 

I fired off an email to them last night to ask about a reservation but I haven't heard back from them yet.
