St170 Alternator And Starter

Hi,

I am about to replace crossflow with ST170, I have the retroford alternator bracket to move the alternator to the righthand (inlet) side. I need a ACR type and believe it's a left hand version, does anyone know the part number or make model of Ford to get the correct model please.

 

Same for starter fitting to MT75 with 1.8 flywheel.

just a heads up yours might be different but i found the only alt bracket i could get to fit was the gbs one with the small denso alt

Thanks Steve, the denso alternator requires different brackets to the one I have. Might be able modify if I cannot find the right alternator. Does it have the correct pulley?

I thought the ACR was Lucas alternator and you can remove the three long bolts to swap the handing.

Tried that from another forum, but the case is definitely right or left handed.

thank you, I will measure the shaft diameter when i get home. There was 2 versions 15mm and 17mm, with the ACR alternator being held on by woodruff key/taper shaft and the zetec is multivee/straight shaft I cannot remember how many.
