I ended up fitting some arch extensions. Couldn't find any suitable wheels, didn't want to drill any holes in the wings but had no choice in the end.

Pic below, doesn't look too bad I suppose...just need to give it a clean and try and get the paint back to life now.

So I'm now trying to register the car with the dvla and they have come back to me and asked for a certificate of newness. I understand that this should come directly from the kit supplier so I have contacted GBS hope to get something that I can submit. 

Does anyone know what this is for? Do I only need this if I am requesting a new 22 reg number rather than an age related plate?

I think you need it, no matter what. Its not much of a certificate - a letter with the GBS logo and 3 lines of text saying you bought the chassis and bits from them.
