  1. Thanks Andy ... something to consider ... although I am hoping to spend less.
  2. A very good day everyone. Sorry, this 'want' is not specifically linked to my 'hoodie' ... though I can see me using it sometimes in the car. I am looking for an Apple 3rd generation, wifi, iPad ... 32GB ... 9.7" screen - with appropriate charging cable etc. Anyone upgrading and interested in selling me their current iPad ... for a sensible price? Thanks ... Alan
  3. Owing to other commitments, we only managed to visit on the Sunday - but - excellent location, excellent weather, just a shame we missed all the fun and partying on the Saturday. As this was our first visit, I chatted to a few club members whilst there today, to try and put faces to forum comments. Others made a point of coming over to chat to us ... cheers. Next year a whole weekend would be great, so, will either take the motorhome, or 'find' the old small tent! To those who haven't been - next year should be bigger, better and bolder - well worth attending! Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Phil told me it would probably be the weekend of 19th/20th next year. Congratulations to all who did the organising and 'donkey work' - to make it all happen.
  4. Looks good ... quite local for me too ... Trouble is - I'll be in London for a long weekend ... Sod it!
  5. Love to ... but ... still being taken dancing!!! Calling a halt to it at the end of the year, so can start claiming these evenings for 2015. Alan
  6. Have followed your advice. Contribution now sent via Paypal. Enjoy the run!
  7. Not able to attend, unfortunately, but please let me know how I can still donate.

    Insurance

Renewed with a-plan this year. Last year for 5 named drivers, cost me £143.80, reduced this year to £115.08 A lot of my contact with a-plan was through messages on this forum/website with Clare. Extremely helpful people.
  9. Boo hoo ... Dancing ... again!! Told my wife that dancing is going to have to stop at the end of the year - there are other things I want to do with the time. Hopefully there may well be some 'last Wednesdays' in the month between now and then when there will be no dancing - then I can take a trip out again to the Malt Shovel. Thoroughly enjoyed my last trip (first one!) Alan :cray:
  10. I emailed the organisers to check on cost of entry at Walsall Arboretum - with a 'classic car' - and got the following reply ... Hi Alan Vehicle entries are now closed as we are only days away from the event. However anyone turning up on the day with a classic vehicle as long as they pay the normal admission which on this event is Adults/OAPs £4.50 - Children £2.50 we will allow privileged parking on the showground area. However you need to be in by 11am at the latest as after this time we restrict movement of vehicles on the showground. Hope the above helps Regards Linda Geoff and Linda Price. I have pencilled the event in my diary and mentioned it to my wife ... so far, so good! Weather permitting, grandchildren permitting I'll go along but probably not for the 11 o'clock privilege parking as that will then restrict when I can leave. Why dependant on the weather? Well if my wife decides to accompany me and it rains ... the car leaks like a sieve and she would be wet through before we left our street!! Fingers crossed we'll arrive and enjoy the event. :acute:
  11. I have to agree it looks a cracker of a car. Even though I now own my own hoodie, I can't stop looking at kit cars being sold to see what I would buy if I was still in the market. I am sorry to say that although your car looks superb, because of the asking price I would not give it a second look ... sorry, but it seems to me to be priced much too highly. I think steamer's price suggestion is where I would be expecting to find it. Good luck though Simon. Though why not keep it?? Alan

    School Prom

The only way to arrive in style ... very well done ... excellent! :db:
  13. Added my details with a vote for Ricoh.
  14. Morning Andy ... I have no claims for Scottish membership - but my 'wee hoodie' does. It was born and bred in Kelly Bank, Wemyss, Renfrewshire back in 1997. It has asked me to drive it back home but I haven't yet found the time. It's most recent request is to claim 'affiliated membership' of the 'Scottish Clan' ... or ... 'extended family membership' ... or ... 'distance membership' ... 'default membership' ... I know, I know it's now clutching at straws ... but it's obviously been watching "Who do you think you are"! Do you think it has any claim to a tartan, then at least I can make it a seat cushion or something. Well done with the growing membership and a very good day to all members 'north of the border' ... Alan
  15. RHOCar Community ... facebook page ... NO Rhocar The UK kit car club ... facebook page ... YES Then it can be found under ... Recent Posts by Others on Rhocar The UK kit car club I guess only those with the authority have photos that remain in situ on the page. Alan
  16. Took a couple of quick photos last night with my phone ... only one worth looking at ... position of the sun you understand ... Have put it onto the RHOCaR facebook page. Must take my 'proper' camera next time. Alan
  17. Well ... thank you all ... Dancing was cancelled last night, so my wife offered to accompany me to the Warks., Worcs., W Mids area meet at the Malt Shovel Pub!! Positives: Superb, warm sunshine to drive in to reach our destination. Excellent venue with plenty of parking and very good beer! A bevy of expensive (not mine) and very well presented cars. My first opportunity to meet up with RHOCaR members ... and a fine lot they (you) all are. They (you) were even polite to my wife - not having too much of a go about dancing keeping me away!! Negatives: We had to slope off much earlier than I would have liked as we had a TESCO visit to fit in before our evening meal ... sorry . Because of that, I only had the opportunity to speak with a few guys and didn't get to meet everyone ... sorry. I've booked the Sunday to visit Hollowell ... hopefully if I organise my diary better next year and prioritise RHOCaR events, I'll be able to make the 'long weekend'. Some serious organising/activities appear to be happening on the Saturday - I guess when I arrive on the Sunday you'll either be sleeping in or trooping off to church!! ... It won't be too quiet will it? There was a discussion last night as to when the W Mids. venue changed from the Robin Hood pub (couldn't have been a better named venue) to the Malt Shovel. Knowing both, the current one is so well positioned for access from around the midlands. Whoever originally decided on it ... well done. Thank you again for a warm welcome. An excellent (though short) evening ... I look forward to my next outing. Alan
  18. Hi Richy ... There are 4 World Cup matches being shown on TV on Wednesday evening ... is this likely to reduce the number of cars attending - or now that the English lads are out, will the nation be 'back to normal' routine?!
  19. Posted cheque for a Sunday visit ... love to - but can't - manage the whole weekend.
