Hi dean My gauge was ok, it went down to just below the 1/4 full before i filled it up again, it did have a moment when it went back up from 1/2 to 3/4 for about 10mins on way to stoneligh but after it settled back it was ok. Not sure what tank ive got but its supposed to be a ford escort mk5/6 (original tank from RH), looking at the pump/sender they look the same.

Had a good 1st time at stonleigh and it was nice to match faces to names, hope its there next year and its the longest drive ive taken the car on and it was well behaved despite shearing a rear hub wheel bolt!!

I though the etb gauge was 10-180 ohm. Ive got an escort tank (I think the pump/sender unit in ford tanks are 10-180) in mine but only just fitted a new etb gauge so will find out on run up to stonleigh. Will let you know then but ive got a 10lt Jerry can in case

Ive wimped out of camping, my back can just about cope with the drive but NO chance of sleeping on a cold hard ground and being able to walk next day. So I've booked a hotel a couple of miles away. Will still be there all weekend and will probably leave car onsite and get a taxi back and forth

A leisurely drive on Saturday, I think there may be a few other kits travelling Saturday according to the owner of Quantum Sports Cars (Rob Hancock). Not sure on what route to take , motorway or scenic, I'm leaning towards scenic as thr drone on the motorway would drive me crazy

Hi Dean Its a brand new coil as old one was all corroded inside, I got a compatible (used old unipart code from old unit). Ive seen that putting a 10k resistor on the -ve signal lead can help so going with that first

Just read a post on an old Morgan forum and someine running a T16 engine in their Morgan has a oil pressure of 4-4.5 bar which equates to 58-65 so maybe its ok

Hi Alan Just checked mine and its about 60-62psi on a cold engine but its on a cheap Chinese gauge (in process of replacing them for etb ones), I know Dean has fitted new etb gauges so maybe worth asking him to check his as well

Thanks Nigel, wire from coil to rev counter isn't shielded and rev counter housing is plastic. Will try some shielded wire 1st

Any idea why my new etb rev counter needle bounces around when I accelerate hard, its fine when driving normally.

Any update on this? In the new edition of complete kit car it has Rhocar in block 73J, i can only find a plot 73 so i assume they break it up into smaller lots. Looks to be opposite the "Grand ring"

Yeah it just hold dipstick but it does pass close to the manifold so heat may be an issue with rubber/silicone hose. I left mine in place. And as I said in other reply I have a t under bottle, 1 to thermostat, 1 to bottle and 1 to other t peice in my bottom hose of rad
