Hi Mick, just joined the sorn club myself. 6 months to fit new relays, repack exhaust, fit A/R gauge and change toothed speedo pick wheel for one with less teeth.
  3. Looks like its worth a visit.
  4. Hi Richard, what model megajolt is it? After chatting with you at the meeting have you thought about running without Edis, If its possible I could fit the coil drivers for you. I have the option of borrowing an oscilloscope which may show up the misfire problem. Cheers, Kerry

  12. Hi Guys, looks like this is going to be a show stopper. Any thought on changing big end bearings?
  13. Many thanks to Steve for organising a good day out, far to much to see in a day. And even managed to have a dry run home. Cheers, Kerry
  14. I used Russ at torque tune when I fitted my Redtop, it came home on a trailer because he set to much advance and detonated a piston, the engine had just been built with new pistons 600miles prior to Russ working his magic, go there at your own risk.
  15. Fit a wide band sensor and lc1 interface then let the Emerald map itself using my map to start with.
  16. +1 for me. Cheers, Kerry
  17. Hi Andy, count me in. Cheers

    Waterless Coolants ?

I spoke with the agents selling this product at a classic car show a couple of years ago. The heat transfer properties of this is not as good as water, but the boiling point of waterless coolant is over 150c so your engine wont boil, I believe its more like an oil. What worries me is what damage will it cause running your engine at 110c or even higher. Because it does not boil the cooling system does not get pressurised. I would love someone (mowerman) to give it a go and leave feed back on what he finds.
  19. that's me booked in, just need to pay Derek.
  20. Oversize pistons and full rebore is the way forward.
  21. Hi Steve, gutted to hear about engine.. Sounds like detonation which burns down the side of the piston, pretty much like what happend to my red top .. I Your compression seems high on the good cylinders, what should it be?. I run thick head gasket which gives low compression, that allows me to run high boost without pinking. Let me know what you find. Cheers, Kerry
