  1. I have a Zero so hopefully one of the 2B guys will respond soon. I have applied for IVA at Kidderminster 2 weeks ago please let me know how the day goes and feedback on the inspector that may help. Hope all goes well. Mark
  2. Thanks Rich,i think i will reduce the noise.
  3. I have used them a few times with no problems, always have parts in stock.
  4. Someone will probably correct me but I believe Cleco pins are easier because you can use them one handed whilst the other hand is holding the sheet metal. Skin pins tend to be screw adjusted to clamp so you need two hands to operate them, one to hold the pin, one to adjust so a spare person to hold the metal. I also think Cleco pin maybe a brand name.
  5. Just some information for the people still building, the IVA application on the website has been amended two months ago. I was sending my paperwork yesterday that was complete in January and thought I would check one more time it is now IVA 1C dated June 2013, the Amateur declaration form is still the same.
  6. All tasks completed and pre-MOT OK, new brakes needed warming up and emissions adjusted. Still concerned slightly about the noise level. All IVA paper work completed and posted. IVA1, IVA4, build photos (sent 20 random pictures), copy of DVLA letter confirming chassis number, copy of invoice for zero kit and selection of other invoices for major components and safety items. Sit back and wait....applying for Kidderminster test centre, has anybody got any experience with them?
  7. It does have a grommet and conduit, the picture was taken during installation.
  8. Pictures as promised, not needed for IVA but wired when doing other lights.

    Heat Soak

CBS do some heat shield mats, can be shaped to your requirements.
  10. On holiday will post picture when i get home.
  11. Never had a problem with any order from Burtons, but i suppose every organisation has good and bad days.
  12. Long shot, but I had an old Astra SRi and had similar problems ended up to be HT leads.
  13. I had a bad experience a long time ago, quoted for some work which I agreed to over the phone and email. When I arrived all went wrong, they did not help me unload the car (heavy rain) when I eventually got it off and into the garage. The quote started to change significantly and they wanted it for 4 days not 2, I was hiring a trailer. I can recommend Ashley's exhaust not too far from them, all bespoke work and to a very high standard.

    New Exhaust

Dan, I used Ashleys in Birmingham excellent quality, smooth welds all stainless and bespoke manifold, expensive but worth every penny. Good guys and even gave me the final bill in two invoices so the wife will never know the true cost! The manifold is automotive art, the first manifold was slightly wrong and they scrapped it, I couldn't tell but there was a slight kink in the primary. Perfectionists.

    Zero Rear Drums

Hi Andy, Please see attached photos, my hand brake cable enters the back plate at the bottom (from wish bone side) and operates handbrake lever on the top shoe. There is a possibility that you have fitted the the back plate on the wrong side, why! because I did before realising the shoes would not fit.
