    Cobra Roadster 7 Seat

There was a pair of these in locostbuilders recently, one good condition one not so good. Unless you bought them?
  3. Looks good. I'm thinking I will do my side panels and rear panel in this.
  4. There are pictures, but have to say I don't recognise that front suspension setup.

    Workmate Wanted

I have a similar black decker one without the stand as despite years into dads shed / garden is still working well.
  6. Sounds like a monocoque from your description. Put up some pictures and someone more knowledgable than me on the various models will soon tell you what you have.

    Main Beam Switches

Build it as you want it. I can find no need for a flasher in IVA manual and so have built without one. I am using toggle switches.
  8. Late start on the car today, didn't get out there until 11am and generally just plodded along. Worked mostly on the seat mounts and finally got a fit I am happy with in the drivers seat and all properly bolted into place. I have found the seat mounts a right faff of a job and it took me until 4pm to get it finished and put everything away again. I then was told I had not done my "chores" so nipped out to pick up some bits for swmbo and the bits I needed to fix the lawn mower. Lawn mower repaired, grass cut and I found I had a little time before I would be moaned at to come in for the night, so back to the garage I went! Decided I had just enough time to fit the type r oil pressure gauge I had picked up at stoneleigh. This poor neglected gauge has been owned by numerous Rhocar members but never has anyone actually fitted it to a car! Today, that has changed. It is now fitted and working in my car a I have to say I love the look. May even swap to all type r gauges at a later date. The only issue I had was the thread on the sender was wrong for the pinto, thankfuly in my box of bits I had a suitable thread adaptor so all is well and no leaks.
  9. Was forgetting Newark was next weekend! Look forward to seeing your car.
  10. Should have fitted a felpro or similar while you had the head off!

    Webber Carb

What have you got on the front at the moment? This is something I need to consider as well.

    Webber Carb

Good to hear you sorted it.
  13. Crush tubes have been made today so will be fitting them sometime this week.
  14. Mine wouldn't start earlier either! Turned out I'd knocked a connection off the starter!
  15. I'm 6ft, but my height isn't so much the problem. This is an early mono, later ones had a harness bar already in place on the roll bar. Also my bar is wider than the later ones. Seats was a nightmare. I tried various grp seats and could not get one that fitted me and the car at the same time. The cobras are probably a bit taller at the base than say, intatrim odyssey, but they are very comfy! Head rest just touches bottom of my head when leant back but I think will therefore be just nice with a helmet on. Again with head tilted back, Roll bar is just taller than my head. So couple of extensions will be fitted post iva.
  16. That was easier than I thought it would be As you can see the harness are now running level to my shoulders, so bar although looks high, is a nice height.
  17. It is high, higher than it needed be, but it makes the route to shoulders nice. Will try and grabe a photo. Lower mounts are in and just about wide enough apart.
  18. Couple of updates. Started on a bolt in harness bar, just waiting on brother in law to turn up some crush tubes at work next week before final fitting. Will be painted at later date. Also removed none iva compliant fog lights and fitted one compliant one.
  19. Not sure who it was that was asking but the emerald in northfield was previously the King George V pub
  20. Just sat down to a carvery. See you all in a bit
  21. I did search but obvioualy using the wrong search words as couldn't find anything
  22. Don't think just that will be enough as it was so very low down to the floor. Increasing the diameter of the quadrant shouldn't be an issue though.
  23. You are worrying about the wrong things.
  24. Cheers guys. Will look at increasing the quadrant size.
