Have you sprayed a bit of easy start in to help it? It may help the initial kick. If it fires with spray listen for any knocking noise, bore slap, if it occours stop immediately.

Could have cam and dizzy 180 degrees out of sync.

Remove number 1 plug. Finger on the plug hole as you turn the engine over on the pulley to confirm when number 1 is on compression stroke. Wind up to tdc. Check dizzy is sending spark to number 1 plug and not to number 4.

Back to basics then.

I assume the cam is timed correctly & that you have followed Jim & Nigel's (Longboarder's)

advice,

Remove HT lead from no. 1, fit a spare spark plug, hold (with insulated pliers) against the engine

& turn over....look for a big fat spark. Refit the HT lead to no. 1. (that bit's important)

If OK, then pour an eggcup full of petrol straight down the carb venturi.

Turn over as above.

Report back any results, coughing, popping back, kicking back or totally dead

& I'll have another think.

Already done that all bob

Got spark and fuel down carb

Nothing think was trying at one point

Thinking battery might not have enough power in it not sure

Wen turning over sounds like pistons squeaking but could be the compression not sure

Take out all spark plugs and turn over. It should turn quicker.look at the plugs while your at it and clean off and regap..If you do this in darkness with NO fuel connected then im hoping you will see 4 sparks.

Reading some of the posts, if you have cleaned bores and losing that much pressure then your gaps must be truely massive. You would still get a kickover tho so its issolating the fault.
